explosive device in ED police station

Recommended Posts

Bottom end of LL was closed going south bound uphill and side roads too. I doubt its M&S playing hardball. I sent them a letter last week asking if they have intentions for east dulwich and they said it's not on their development list. I think the traders are just gossip mongering :))

Apparently the police station in ED will shut, after the plans for the Needle Xchange on CP road were rejected it was felt that crime in ED was at such an all time low that the station was no longer needed. They also felt that the land was worth an awful lot and in fact the local council are interested in turning it into a halfway type of house. They reckon they would save several millions doing things this way and they can then shift the alloted money for the hostel on to other vote winning projects.

They are looking at metal detectors on all paths + roads leading into the Shire, er sorry i mean ED, and creating some stables on the site of Iceland in order to have more horses around the place, it would take the edge of living in London, make people feel a bit more in tune with things. Oh yes and more butterflies around the place, sponsored by M+S of course, little insignia's on their wings, harmless.

What is / are the email address / es? Can  I please have the names of people involved in @cleanairdulwich?  Is it a private organisation? If so,  who is behind it? Is it @Southwark Council organisation - if so, can we please have more information? Who pays for it?
    • This is the chart that the DFT published last week that triggered the Cycling Weekly article. Clearly, nationally, something isn't working and I wonder if the approach taken needs a complete rethink and overhaul as if this is the result of a £2bn investment then clearly it is not delivering any ROI - but isn't a 2% or so increase what has been seen in the City of London (per Carlton Reid's "More bikes than cars in the city now" article) so maybe this is consistent in cities too and 2% increase is all that anywhere has seen?
    • I meant that particular Sainsbury's, but perhaps I am being too hard on it. But then I remember Sainsbury's in the days before there were supermarkets .....
