RPK073
We have a decent Italian restaurant on the Lane?
StraferJack
Doubt you will get a stunning veal dish but for pizza and pasta, sorsi & morsi next to tandoori nights is pretty decentIn this decent summer, their back terrace is a blessing too
StraferJack
But leaving The Lane aside, il mirto is seconds away on Melbourne grove, so mangia isn't far away on forest hill roadWe aren't short of places
DulwichFox
While Indian food requires some Knowledge of ingredients and techniques.... Pizza and Pasta are very simple dishes to make. Requires very basic cooking skills. Foxy
madeofsquares
Well I think it's a great idea. I'd definitely eat there.
Cedges
I'd go more for a ramen kind of affair over sushi but a place that combines these I could see being very successful, especially if reasonably priced.
Alex K
The Sushi Lady was an asset. When I was in London of a Saturday, I'd trundle up and pick out two of her boxes for both of our lunch. I miss her.If the person thinking of sushi makes an effort to sell into Camberwell as well as along Lordship Lane, (s)he might do quite well, it seems to me. To offer delivery at lunchtimes should be considered: A few young folks on mopeds? Or even a stall outside King's College Hospital weekday noons --
NewWave
I for one would LOVE LOVE LOVE a good quality, fairly priced Japanese restaurant In the neighbourhood. Would be great if they also sold Sashimi fish and Sushi for take outs.
Listen up
100% Yes. Have used companies as far off as Elephant & Brixton as it's not catered for at all within 3 miles of here. A couple of friends of mine would use patronage the business even more than me too.
sonla
We love japanese food, so we would love one to open locally Sonia
Dan G
It would go down a storm, I'm sure. Way too many curry houses dominating Lordship Lane.

Asha22
Thank you all very much indeed for the dynamic and insightful reception...seemingly an insatiable appetite for Japanese!! I've been a rather unproductive 1-man lobby to date so hopefully this post provides the critical mass required to nudge from idea to execution :-)

lionandmouse
I think as long as it was good value and good food it would be a great hit; I for one would visit regularly! Some Japanese / Sushi places in London are ridiculously expensive and for mediocre food. Perhaps a trial stall at the market off Lordship Lane on Saturday morning would give you an idea of how popular it would be?
