Chav, by that argument we should just have a 'Tribe Pride' march, with everyone of every class marching proudly together, wearing their tribal colours of Burberry jackets (vintage post-1998) or Burberry jackets (vintage pre-1998) or whatever. But to be honest, it doesn't sound as much fun..

oooh I dunno - potential for even more fun!

That said - tribes don't interest me at all. I may be easily classifiable at the moment but I'm sure if enough people do so loudly enough, I would shape-shift and materialise as something else (with the same values. of course. they are not for negotiation)

Last year I flew with Thompson Airways and I have to say that I would christen that Airline

"Chav Airways" as it was basically full of them... so my suggestion for your parade is to just hang around at the arrival gates of Gatwick, wait for Thompson to arrive from Mah-Ga-Loft or similar and parade with them all as they come out...

Fake tans a necessary addition as it will blend in nicely with their 'redness' or peeling skins

also don't forget to carry a DOM-KEI(That is how they pronounce it, talk really slowly and loudly so that you can be understood anywhere in the world and have a dozen screaming kids under each arm...

Why go out of your way to fund a parade when there are at least 40 a day already taking place at this time of year....

    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
    • It's tough being a courier and the pay which is largely based on the number they deliver is miserable. Hence the staff turnover is high. EFRI was previously branded as HERMES but they had to create a new brand name because of poor performance. We get regular courier deliveries and EVRI are by far the worst. They just drop the parcel at the front door - often without ringing the bell. But worst is when they deliver to the equivalent door number on LL instead of ours on EDG. Best are ParcelForce, DHL and DPD by a wide margin.
    • I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.
    • Thanks for posting this. Really interesting. It would be good if you added a star rating, so that it was easier to do comparisons / see what your top recommendations are. Great blog though!
