I have noticed a pattern to many of the threads on this forum especially about topics such as cycling.......

Fixed puncture for teen boy, only got bike on Saturday



Noticed my lock-ups are located under a conker tree


David who drives for us has taken to wearing a bike helmet whilst loading the van

New Carpet eh? Well there are a number of shops having a spruce-up or going through changes.


Kaival's newsagent is shut for "major construction" until end of June,

Haus of Woof still being knocked into a cafe/nightclub,

Plough Sainsbrees having major refit,

major facelift and interior work at old Moulin,

Gastronimia gutted and awaiting new estate agent tenants,

Speedo Pizza gone.

planning notice through the post re cinema development (so that looks a long process),

Irish shop closed and empty.

Ditto Draft House (yes I know about FM but right now it's empty)


On the good news front - Bruno's will soon (end of May -ish) have a Provencal Rose on draught (the barrel is currently being constructed) - and it will be chilled too. Just in time for the summer :)

Doesn't say clearly that it tried to bite you , but instead implies that you had the impression, right or wrong that it wanted to nip you.  unless you are clear others will read it how you write it.  As for being a jobsworth, what a quaint old expression, haven't heard that for a long while.

      Crook locks can be sawn through, or the steering wheel to which it is attached, I know to my own cost. The safest additional security measure is what's called a ghost immobiliser, which cannot be traced through the car's electronics, meaning it is difficult to bypass. They cost a bomb however.

      I’ve reported two instances of mobile phone theft to 999 in recent times. On both occasions several police units have arrived very quickly - in one case they found the perpetrator.
