Factors beyond my control prevented me from attending The Herne and I've got a job in Brum the morning after the Gowlett but will do my utmost to attend. Need to catch up on recent EDF postings and new forumites (what do we call veteran posters?).

Woop Woop - well I have my voice back finally and Jaws and I will definitely be at the next one, even though I couldnt speak I thorougly enjoyed it.. I wont be the quiet one in the corner this time around!!

I even saw Richard on the train station this morning (felt like a proper ED resident me) and he said he may make the next one..

:))

As an ex-newbie I object in the strongest possible terms to the derogatory and patronising term "newbie". I think you'll find the correct term is Of Recent Heritage (With Potential).

Thank you for using the correct terminology in the future. Backsliders will be severely punished.

In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
