Does anyone know of a universal sling cover? I'm finding it a pain to pile layers of clothes on my baby for a short walk around the block. It would we great if there were some kind of fleecy thing I could fit over the sling instead of layers of clothes. Waterproof would be a bonus. Obviously I could use a blanket but its not draft proof and slips off.

I loved this one:

You can cover the baby when you carry on the front as well as the back. You can wear it as waterproof jacket, fleece warmer or together as a winter jacket. We both loved it! Pm me if you need more info ;)

If you have an Ergo, there's a fleecy outer layer as well as a rain cover that you can buy. We have both if you'd like to see if it works with your sling? I think there's something similar for the Baby Bjorn as well. Otherwise, I've been coveting a raincape from www.ottolondon.com to keep us both dry on the outside...but not sweltering underneathe!
Thanks everyone! I am really hoping to wear my own existing coat but just pop something cosy over the top of the baby sling. The bjorn one mentioned above would be perfect but it fastens at the top on two little hooks that my sling doesn't have.

Bloomchen mentioned MaM but I couldn't find it on Amazon. However, Snowboarder, that site you recommended also has the MaM which looks like what I am after. Thanks everyone!

I made my own, perhaps you have seen me wandering around ed with lo on my back, it's a blue m&s fleece which I cut a slit across the back and down and inserted two triangle pieces to give extra room for n, does just the job and actually I found I don't need a waterproof thing as I have hands for brolly... Stop me if you see me to take a look, it really was very easy!

Can we have a pic please?!

  • 2 months later...
I just bought a little lamb babywearing fleece which is not bad. It is suitable for front or back carries. It has an extra roomy bit for the baby and slit to poke their head out of. It's not the most glamorous item of clothing but I really feel the cold so I need to know I'll be warm... I also use my maternity coat which is a swing style coat and does up around both of us with an extra button I added (my LO is 1 so not tiny anymore!)

    • I don’t want the gatekeepers/key holders deciding what or what doesn’t merit being on the board. It’s for council/municipal information only. It’s not right that commercial or political parties or social campaigners be allowed to take advantage of such a facility. So, if the key holder can work with the relevant councillor/s, this would be a great idea. If not, it woudn’t.
    • Good idea - Sue are you happy to speak to the owner of Health Matters? Thanks

With rescue pleas coming in daily, the demand is rising - especially for vulnerable kittens, abandoned pets & overlooked strays in need of safety, warmth & care.   Whether you can offer: - A safe, temporary home (even short-term or kitten-specific) - Transport help (vet runs, collections, drop-offs) - Admin support, fundraising or social media help - Raising Awareness through educating the general public. ... you can make a real difference. Fostering is fully supported - all food, litter & veterinary care is provided. You don't need a garden, just a quiet space, a kind heart & commitment. Every safe space created means another cat pulled from danger. If you've been waiting for a sign - this is it! • Absolutely agree , the pool is in a disgusting state at the moment. I’ve also noticed how dirty it’s been lately, especially around the edges and in the changing rooms. It’s honestly at the point where it feels unhygienic, and I wouldn’t be surprised if people got sick from swimming in it. You’ve done the right thing by reporting it  hopefully if more of us raise concerns , they’ll take it seriously. Happy to add my voice to any formal complaint or petition if that helps. Thanks for speaking up — you’re definitely not alone!
