They haven't but sounds cool.

We can organise a couple of beds and sofas in the area for maybe seven or eight people.

I realise it's a bit of a palarver for the N Herts folk, so apologies, but fancied the EDT rather than neutral territory near Kings X.

Which is why we didn't hire the upstairs. ?1500 minimum spend, we might have done double that 10 years ago, but with kids to return to etc etc I thought we'd struggle to achieve close to that!! :/

We'll have a space set aside in the 'dining area' for up to 50 (may be a tad ambitious that, though we've a few coming from Ireland too!!)

It is indeed. We have the dining side of the edt once we've kicked out the rugger buggers. There might even be a short live set by a reknowned forumite.

Hopefully a good turnout for this, I've a couple of folk I haven't seen for years so dead excited!

I shall be getting thoroughly munted from about 7 onwards. Drunken hugs "I fackin fackin' love you Gumbo" start around 9:30.

    • Strong views?  I thought this was The Lounge so anyone could bring something up?  This is an important part of our day to day life and the Labour Party isn’t doing what they promised since their election nearly a year and a half ago.
    • OMG,  Greene King.  How awful.  Music may be fine.
    • Baffled by this. We've adopted our last three cats from Celia Hammond and all three have been outdoor cats (which we were upfront about). And when we got our first cat we were out working every day. And of course we live on a road, with through traffic - who doesn't, in London? Maybe we were just lucky but none of those things were deemed an issue when we applied for adoption - in fact we found the RSPCA much stricter when we tried to register with them first time round. Not saying this wasn't your experience, hellosailor, but it certainly wasn't ours - so I wouldn't want this post to put other people off contacting Celia Hammond to ask about adoption. They are a brilliant little charity and I will be supporting this appeal as I have done other appeals of theirs in the past.
    • Why was it a disastrous speech? I watched the BBC news and then listened to some of the discussion and it didn't come across like this,  You clearly hate Labour and everything they stand for.  Have Your Say on the BBC website may be a better place for you to post your strong views.
