Galleon hairdressers has anyone used them for cuts?

want to give it a go as they are my local hairdressers since I moved but has anyone tried? are they any good? Pls only genuine recommendations, thank you

Yes, had great cut and colour from there last month. I think it was John who did the cut and Heidi (?) who did my colour. I've been twice now and seen different people but they do seem to actually listen to what you want.

Mark is a fantastic hairdresser - I'd wholeheartedly recommend him for a cut.

Yes, wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I've had my hair cut by three different hairdressers there and been really pleased with the result each time.

Very good. Mark cuts both mine and my son's hair. I've been several times. He does get quite booked up so I'd recommend booking sooner than later.

Their prices are so high though eg ?55 for a ladies hair cut. But I've heard the service is very good.

I've had my hair cut by Mark and a couple of the others too (I always book too late) and I'd heartily endorse them. It's also the most peaceful and relaxing hairdressers I've ever been to.

Mark cut my hair beautifully and my husband (who is really fussy about who cuts his locks) was very happy with Mark's scissor work!

If memory serves, all the stylists at Kuki in Bellenden Road - including Shingo - charge ?40 for a cut, which is a lot less than ?55.

I used to go to Charles Worthington in town, and have had a much better cut from Shingo.

I don't know how the cut compares to Galleon, but I'm very happy with Kuki so I've no wish to pay ?15 more :)

I had a cheaper price by a woman who had only been working as a hairdresser for several years previously. ie not fully qualified, but it was brilliantly cut. About ?45 if I recall.

BUT, go up Cheltenham Road to Honeys (ex Top Knot) and the lovely Hayley is also an excellent cutter. Can highly recommend her. And she will tell you the lovely story as to why she changed the name to Honeys.

In the spirit of giving a balanced picture, I had a pretty bad cut and poor service from the Galleon but sounds like I'm in the minority. Of all the local hairdressers I've tried I would recommend Jeannette, formerly with Roche and currently doing home visits. Details somewhere on the forum.
