The on-off-on again-off again fight between Ricky Hatton and the Pac-Man is back on again and this time looks like it's certain.

May 2nd

Las Vegas

A real shame as an open air fight at the City of Manchester stadium in fornt of 50-60000 would have been amazing. But the casinos pay the big bucks. And money talks. Plus it'll be at some stupid hour of the morning for us UK based fans.

Should be a humdinger though. I can't imagine either fighter taking a backwards step. Pac-man fights like a Mexican, so does Hatton and he has a good record against this sort of fighter plus Hatton'll have the size and power advantage with Manny perhaps a bit quicker.

If only the Bank of Carnell stretched to plane tickets/fight tickets/hotel bookings/black jack losses then I'd be out there like a shot.

If he's as tall as Mike Tyson 5'10 inches, he was the only heavyweight champion I remember to be under six feet,

but Iron Mike proved that if you have knock-out drops in both hands, you only have to be tall enough to reach the chin.

Yeah just saw that story, and found myself hoping he gets beat. Not very patriotic of me, but he is striking me as annoyingly cocky. Only won his last fight because of a clash of heads causing too big a ct... May still have won, but may well not have.

Anyway, next he'll be after Hatton or Pac-man! :-S

Haye says he doesnt have to be the best heavyweight fighter of all time....only of his time. I think he stands a good chance of that. I saw him at the O2 against Monte Barrett

yes we were !

He needs to get back to basics keep his mind in the ring and not get carried away by the huge box office he has stateside and the superfight between him and Mayweather that has now turned to nothing. Watch Mayweather SNR after the 1st round Hatton basically ignores him, he said in the press conferences that Hatton was going to get hit in the head, and how right he was.

I have a feeling pa-man will (if the fight happens) beat Mayweather... I know the fights were a while ago, but Mayweather made tougher work of De La Hoya and Hatton.

Think they're probably techniquely every bit as good as each other, but it's just the amount of punches that pac-man seems to throw, and the power he seems to be able to put behind them at any weight!

Much as I love to watch Mayweather fight, it would do him good to get knocked the f*ck out! Just as long as it hapens in or after the 10th!!!

    • They've left all kinds of things in my garden including gardening gloves and shoes, not to mention scavenged food and packaging. Once they left an unopened vacuum pack of smoked trout, the next day some pita bread. All a bit biblical.
    • From memory foxes only became a regular sight in the 90s, the attached article says they first appeared in the 30s becoming far more common in the 80s.  Apparently, whilst we think that urban foxes live longer than rural due to their 'easy' life few will make it over the age of two.  In towns they are far more crowded than their natural habitat where they are more territorial. I've never seen foxes and cats fighting but once saw two cats squaring up to each other and a watching fox went up and butted its head against one of the cats.  There's a video on youtube of a cat and fox facing off when the cat is eating outside, but it wont let me embed on this post.  Get too close and I'll scratch you. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/oct/15/urban-foxes-are-they-fantastic-or-a-growing-menace My main issue is leaving things out like gardening gloves and they go or are shredded.  One stole a bag of bird food in front of me, took it next door, shredded the bag and then left it.
