LM thanks - wow 11 pages!!

including posts from the *notorious* bigbadwolf who was 'before my time' but.....he is very funny on this thread, can I say that? oh, I already did.

am I going off topic? whooops sorry HonaloochieB, I do, of course, think you are marvellous and for that reason I won't publicly admit to not knowing who this Mott character is. Not in public anyway.

PS. I did 'get' the Kramer begging reference if that counts for anything? B)

*back pedals*

Actually KatieNumbers I happen to think you're all over ginchy too.

Of course you got the Seinfeld reference, you addict you.

I confess to being a little disappointed at your lack of Mott The Hoople awareness but never mind.

As you're only thirteen this might be an appropriate place to start...

Well this might bring him back...

*turns up the music - LOUD*

I was a city child with a dead-end smile

And a worm`s-eye point of view

Oh I knew my way, I was a back-street stray

And I had my eyes on you

Now I got this friend and he`s a screwdriver-jiver

You know, some kinda automobeat on the street

And he has converted me to rock`n`roll

I just wanna dance to

Honaloochie boogie yeah

Get in time, don`t worry `bout the shirt shine

Honaloochie boogie yeah

You sure started somethin`

Now my hair gets longer as the beat gets stronger

Wanna tell Chuck Berry my news

I get my kicks outta guitar licks

And I`ve sold my steel-toed shoes

Now I got this friend and he`s a spider west-sider

You know, he`s hung up on a protection rejection thing

But I have made him see the light

He just wanna dance to

Honaloochie boogie yeah

Get in time, don`t worry `bout the shirt shine

Honaloochie boogie yeah

You sure started somethin`

Honaloochie boogie yeah

Get in time, don`t worry `bout the shirt shine

Honaloochie boogie yeah

You sure started somethin`

Good question TonyQuinn - I think its a fake first time recommendation or something. I mean, has anyone actually heard of this HonaloochieB character before?

Anyhow, people will insist on posting on this thread, won't they? Perhaps that's why its already 11 pages long* ;-)

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
