SteveT
The talented Tony Hart who had the best arts programme by a streak, died aged 83.He never had to show "one he made earlier", he would knock it up in front of you in a couple of shakes. He made the Blue Peter brigade look like ham fisted clowns.'Morph' was made famous on 'Take Hart' an Ardman production who have since graduated to Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep etc.I bet they won't find anyone to replace him in a hurry.rip Tony Hart. philip walker
A sad loss, many happy memories of running home after school to watch Take Hart, gave my parents some peace which I think they would have thanked Tony for.Rest in Peace. RosieH
I had my drawing of an owl displayed in The Gallery. I loved that man. And Morph. And Morph's bad white wrong 'un friend - was his name Chad? A valuable lesson in wrong 'uns that I failed to learn at an age when it cwould have stood me in good stead for the years to come.R.I.P. Toe Knee Heart (in memory of a particular episode where he encouraged us to develop a coat of arms based on our own names - his syllables offered rich territory - as did all his programmes). I hope his family is very proud. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4958-tony-hart-rip/#findComment-159553 Share on other sites
giggirl
He had such a quiet and gentle way about him too. Lots of presenters from that era were loud in every sense of the word. TH was the quiet man - and we loved him. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4958-tony-hart-rip/#findComment-159569 Share on other sites
Keef
was his name Chad?I think it was Chaz, but could be wrong, he was the funnier of the 2 though! It was a great programme, and he came across as a jolly nice fella. Polly D
Agonised over whether to send him a collage of a dragon that I was very proud of - it never went up on the gallery and was never returned, as warned. Bro and I used to guess the ages of those lucky enough to be displayed in the gallery. Sigh, happy memories.
