Does anyone know what is happening to the Nina Christie shop on Lordship Lane?

A new coffee shop has opened up at 106 Lordship Lane this morning - doesn't seem to have a name yet but the doors are open and there are cakes in the window!

It was open yesterday, but appeared closed when I came past earlier this afternoon.

M&Co is a clothes/homeware chain. The company used to trade as Mackays and has several hundred branches across the UK.

Kanella sounds great.

Had a very tasty shake yesterday at the new cafe (I think it's called Homemade?) on Northcross Road. They have a lovely sounding juice menu and the cakes looked good so will be back in. Didn't look at the rest of the menu though, anyone tried it?

Yeah.. we had savoury crepes for lunch (seems to be their speciality). TBH nothing special, but the price was right, the people were nice, so all good.

Ta. Savoury crepes is at least a bit different for the area, I think, will give it a go.

Just read the Dulwich Diverter article about the Greek delicatessen. It sounds different, and good that the owners turned down a number of chains, including mobile phone shops, which would have ruined the Lane.

Homemade used to be the caff (definitely not caf-fay!) next to Barry's on Barry Road, and I miss it. If this new place is the same people behind it, I would recommend it. If not, then I'll give it a go and hope it does well.

Thumbs up for Kanella & Co, popped in there today.

Good coffee, great Spanikopita (spinach and filo pastry pie) in a really nice light, bright and comfy atmosphere.

I thought this shop (previously Soupdragon) had been refused a change of use - hence the fact it's been empty for so long. Can anyone confirm this?

Anyway the place looks good, but it's a large space to keep busy and sounds like they were meant to open last year. Walking past the other day it wasn't obviously open.

I agree - Kanella & Co needs a bit more 'presence' from the street. But it looks great inside - popped in Saturday for a nose and it's a lovely space. Hope it does well.
