Ratty - During our Bond Scheme fiasco I wrote him a long and ranty letter which he had the decency to respond to and address all my points, which I was impressed with...generally some fans I know that are closer to the club thought he was a genuine guy

Ooh what was that I was saying about slips early in season and everybody writing them off. Expect them to hit a vein of form in the new year and overtake Arsenals early promise to make it a two horse race against Chelski.

God it's getting more predictable and boring than formula one isn't it :(

Its next Weds Tony. No tickets I'm afraid and despite the score last night I think they will be hard to get. Unless you are winding me up of course.

I work Wednesday evenings but if it had been on another night and we could have got tickets I would have liked to have gone for the craic Mick...

Interesting banter on certain Football Forums between West Ham fans and Spurs fans regarding The Hammers forthcoming "2 games at Home in 2 days"...Hammers fans say they would rather lose 5/0 to Spursand beat The Wall.

Spurs reply with "You consider there is a greater rivalry with a 3rd Division side!!"...and then add that says a lot about you(!) referring to West Ham, of course.

Then The Hammers fans retorted "No! this says more about YOU !".....:))

Typical of my ruddy luck.

I told anyone who cared to listen that, with this current strike-force, United are a good "Lay" at short odds in many Away matches and they have to play Burnley Away on the only Midweek evening that I have to work.

Lay United ?600-?200 ON and do Burnley/United at 40/1= ?600-?15 and "Draw-United ?100 @ 4/1).

As long as United don't lead at Half-Time you are on a big winner, whatever the result.

    • Ah sorry, it was comedy.
    • I have never used AI in my life. It's just notes from my forthcoming monograph on light industry in Dulwich and Camberwell 1879-1946 (dates chosen for obvious reasons).
    • Thank you, this really made me chuckle. It's like you met my brother as he would be the one taking more than his share. Plus the 'pikey' chutney is a winner. Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.  This is blooming genius. It's actually my partner who has the biggest issue with buying in plastic so I will have to hide the wrappers from him!
