I dont listen to much radio to be honest as Im either a tv or an ipod kind of a girl but I got my first DAB radio yesterday and I am completely in lurve!!!!!!!!!!! I had it on this morning in the kitchen dancing around getting ready for work (normally its silence but mrs strawbs is still away) and I loved it!!! Its pre sets all the stations so I dont have to worry!! woop woop..

Moos - those buses are wicked - I sooooooooooooooooooo want one if you get bored xx

I see you're uncoolness annaj and I'll raise you.... how about adding in a dash of Radio 2?!!

I have Absolute, Radio 1 and 4, Heart and Capital as preset stations on my car radio but still I find myself going back to Radio 2 (just to confuse have that preset as station 1!!)

Find it esp satisfying to have talk back to the radio at some of the numpties they have on Jeremy Vine (inc the man himself!). Had to head up the the wilds of East Anglia and back the other day and apart from Steve Wright - who was esp annoying me - it was R2 all the way - added treat was having Tom Jones on with Chris Evans!

... is there anyone uncooler than me?!!

Strawbs you did get a starring role in my recent snow-in-ED epic, but since it's you, here you go. A bus for you and "The Real Mrs C".

I'm with Jah, gave up music radio in '97ish when xfm was bought up,worried that if I ever unexpectedly heard coldplay i may end up doing time. Since those days it's been the glorious (and not so glorious) LBC (97.3). I even set the alarm an extra hour earlier so mI can listen to Steve Allen in the morning.....

Come on Quids and Jeremy, let's find some common ground. Both of you come and join me in my Clash dream.

It was in black and white and on a street corner in New York City, never been there so don't know which one.

There was Joe Strummer, Mick Jones and Topper Headon and from my point of view me. So I'd given myself the Paul Simonon role in this dream, 25 years ago I'd've given him a run, but truthfully he's aged better.

Anyway, we formed a circle, put our arms around each other and touched heads.

Joe said 'This is the last time The Clash will ever stand together', and we all held on to each other as the city carried on around us.

I woke up, I'd been sleeeping on my back and tears were running out of the corners of my eyes, I had tears in my ears.

Never had a dream like it since, but perhaps once is enough.

As well, Mott The Hoople are reforming for some shows in October, now that's a dream come true.

Thanks to you both for bringing together Mott The Hoople and The Clash, not that they were ever too far away in lots of ways, Mick Jones, Guy Stevens, Bill Price and the roots of punk rock etc.

Anyway, shake hands and do a version of All The Yound Dudes.

Then slam into the single version of White Riot and pogo together lovingly.

There, that's better.

    • Have used Milk and More for years. When the price went up we cancelled a couple of pints but we still have 8 pints a week. If we are expecting family etc we buy from Sainsburys to top up. We kept on with M & M as if weather bad we could order extra stuff from them to save us a trip to Sainsburys Local. Also gives employment to our milkman.
    • Hi there, Our Lexus NX300H, (reg RF18BWO) was stolen off our driveway last night, Monday 27th October. It was there at 9pm, and had gone by 7am. If anyone has any footage on their doorbell or Ring, that would be super helpful. We have asked some neighbours and reported to the police etc.  Most upsettingly, there was a box of old family videos in the car boot, in an old Sainsburys box (photo attached). If anyone sees these dumped at the side of the road, please contact me asap! They are priceless videos that my deceased grandparents took. Thank you for any info, Jojo
    • Another shout out for Milk & More - their app allows you to alter the order, add or subtract to it and also to schedule holiday stops without having to leave messages in bottle - so more secure. You do have to set up a direct debit with them, but I haven't had any problems with that myself. I have had one or two missed or late deliveries in several years, but not really a problem - only very occasional and caused mainly by delivery-person illness. And very much feels like an old-fashioned milk delivery. They do special seasonal offers as well. More expensive than the cheapest of the super market milk prices, but for that its at your door, fresh and no bother.
    • Enjoying the nostalgia and memories.  As with others, we get ours through Milk and More (is part of big co, so there is that against it, but it's hardly a secret/niche thing) - returnable glass bottles of milk, orange juice, yoghurt, and much more besides (as per the name). And yes it comes in the middle of the night in an electric vehicle. So can still get out nostalgia fix, doubled when the Riverford chap comes too.
