Just driven past, judging by the fleet of winnies parked up at their unit base it's definitely a feature with some cash behind it and their aren't too many of them filming on location in London at the moment, apart from the St Trinians remake.

Also the location signs all say 'STT Location' so I'd wager it is the crazy girls school caper. Gosh, you may glimpse Mssrs Everett, Fry, Firth and E.Grant, even Girls Aloud :-S and other such acting luminaries around Dulwich this week.

Found this about the St Trinians films on the "Independent" web site:-

"Meanwhile, the famous "gym-slip" uniform worn by pupils in both the Searle cartoons and later films was based on that of James Allen's Girls School in Dulwich, south London, an independent school where Searle sent his daughter, Kate."

"Richard E Grant "

What is the bloke for ?

Why isnt he "resting" more ? I would turn around and march home should I have to misfortune to arrive at the cinema and find that Richard E Grant was starring in a film I had tickets for . What a one duinemsional waste of space - he seems to crop up once a bleeding month on some minor chat show or other and invariably bleat on about his lastest straight to DVD rubbish project and then invariably regale us with tales of his childhood in African and amuse us with some Swahili speech.Very droll Mr Grant.

Just like Tony parsons whines on about what a great time he had in the '70s when he was at ( what he reckons was ) the cutting edge of journalism and that his dad was a paratrooper, Richard E Grant can be relied upon for a few minutes plug and filler somewhere or other.

Even Withnail & I - maybe the best thing hes ever done - is now about 45 years old - actually, can you think of anything else hes done since then ?

no, me neither.

bah.

This will be a rubbish filum. mark my words

Like George Lucas, I think you have to forgive REG on the basis that the world would be a slightly poorer place without the one thing he has given us. (no, not Argos)

Tony Parsons, on the other hand, really is a total arse. Every time I see him moaning away with his arm casually slung over the back of the interviewee sofa (usual on 'This Week') I just want to leap through the screen and pour hot tar over his genitals.

Why does THE CAMBERWELL CARROT scene always get all the limelight? I know it's a big spliff (tee-hee!) and therefore mildly amusing, but it's hardly the defining moment of a film with too many good bits to mention.

W&I is a one-off.. just great from start to finish.

    • Changing subject, slightly.. what is taking over from what was cheese shop.. ? Next to other parade of shops.. which is on Dulwich Parade .. near bookshop, estate agent and closed for failing health and safety.. fined as well.. please god, not another place selling food.. opposite Court Lane..
    • what type of car was it, if they are in demand, might be helpful info.
    • Which has, unfortunately, closed. Au Ciel is much better than Gail's. Big bakery in the parade of shops near Rocca in Dulwich Village with all the seats outside - you can't miss it. Normally a big queue outside at weekends with walkers and cyclists topping up on carbs and coffee!
    • Hi, just to say there was an attempted car theft at the FH end of Underhill over Friday night. Without wanting to go into all the detail, they were pretty adamant and took a great deal of time to (try) take the car. The police came within minutes, and drove around etc.. The police said the car was in demand at the moment. I don’t know if that was brand or model. notwithstanding what the police said, all car owners should be vigilant and neighbours. These thieves were interrupted twice by neighbours, but the thieves came back etc and the neighbours didn’t put 2+2 together as to what was happening to the car. The thieves were two guys, on the cctv it looked like they were wearing grey, but it may have been black (cctv can look odd at night). My neighbours said they were black. They had a bag with them, no doubt carrying tools and they may have been dropped off by a car, that is being investigated.  Take care!!
