I just found 2 bags in our recycling bin full of packages ( plastic and wooden), oily paper etc On one bag it said the name of our local shop. I wonder if it would be the shop damping extra rubbish in the neighborhood ( it is really hard to believe?!!! or was it one of their customers?

Update 7pm

Mystery solved! My SILLY new flatmate needed a box, found one in front of the local shop but then realised it was full of rubbish so damped it n our recycling bin!!!! He definitely needs some recycling training!

Well, at least it was NOT the local shop! Luckily I had no time today as I was ready to go there with all those rubbish bags! That would be REALLY embarrassing!

    • I think that when it comes to privacy and surveillance, the ship has already sailed. Most of us carry a mobile phone everywhere, pay for things digitally, buy things and access services online, are tracked by CCTV and APNR etc.
    • Steering clear of politics... whoops... odd that Tories and Farige are against this. Government has an excellent record of providing digital services, self assessment for example has improved ten fold since I first did it on line 20 years ago. Where they outsource it willy nilly that can be a disaster.  The outsourcing of Covid testing for when you returned from abroad was appalling, clunky systems provided by AAAAAAA testing, based in outer space (US by the whole nature of the front end).
    • It wouldn't be mandatory to carry it and Farage is one of the biggest critics of digital ID cards. Genuinely, and maybe I'm being naive, but what nefarious stuff do you think it could be used for?
    • Incredible. So bring back the Sus Laws, then?
