thanks for all the recommendations. In the end I tried Little Clipper for zoe and her five year old brother. Didn't much like the manner of the older hairdresser with my daughter, she was barking at her to do this, do that, over and over again. She's only just two! Great playroom though so will probably be tempted again.

I took my 3 year old to Jazz barbers on Lordship Lane today for a haircut and they were great. I didn't have an appointment but didn't have to wait at all. The guy who did the cut was really friendly and made my son feel very comfortable. The cut was really good and was cheaper than the place I usually take him. Definitely recommend.

    • You get what you pay for.  It’s an excellent gym, with a great atmosphere and personal care from a knowledgeable and professional staff.  The Sharp family, who own it, are on site all the time providing support and advice and the PTs are excellent.  It’s in a completely different class to a chain gym.  I can’t recommend it highly enough. 
    • There is an ED shop which I avoid going to as much as possible as they rarely have price labels on their goods - there are other places as well in the area.
