bigbadwolf
Right, although I'm incredibly cool I do have a few geeky habits that I thought I'd share with you and I sincerely expect you to share yours. Here goes.1) I'm 25 but still indulge in the odd Airfix model, or two.2) I have a remote controlled helicopter.3) I watch Newsnight religiously.4) I'm very interested in fashion both male and female. I know alot of guys in this field are batting for the other team but my mum is a fashion designer and I've been surrounded by patterns and fabric all my life so I've taken an interest. Well thats my excuse anyway.5) I post on area forums. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5247-geeks-paradise/ Share on other sites

I reckon you're trying to gull innocents on here with the notion that you're 'com-plex'.Not that you aren't necessarily, but to imply that to put it in Viz-speak you're 'good with colours' stretches my credulity to breaking point.Nice try, you rogue you. Keef
You love music theory? You are mad! After GCSE, A Level and Degree, I never want to see another scale, mode, or Bach choral in my life! I didn't go to uni, and I was an average student at school. I was too busy traveling the country playing gigs to do A levels. No regrets, it was a fantastic oppertunity for a 17 year old kid to have a great time with players that were a lot older than me. I am totally self taught except for a few lessons here and there that didn't work out because of some reason or another. Mainly they were not into what I was. Mikecg
Well there is a common fault on the 360 which results in overheating, I think it was the first release hardware that was affected. The problem caused what they call "dry joints" on the solder lugs on the cpu. I recon you could use one to grill a sandwich but it may take a while. SeanMacGabhann
I like code - as in computer coding/scripts. I wouldn't want it to be a main occupation but I like the logic and the challenge of it allAs for xbox360, I reckon I have got more value out of mine than any other gaming system since my Amiga 20 years ago. Jeremy
My geek points...-I am a software developer (good start)-I like real-time-strategy games-I have different computers for different purposes-I like soldering things-I own several guitars, amps, synths, etc-I get very annoyed when people don't play guitar through a proper valve amp (or even worse, if they have a valve amp but use a cheap distortion pedal or effects box in front of it... you know who you are)-I get even more annoyed when songs end on the "wrong" chord-I spend as little money as possible on clothes and haircuts-I don't watch sports (as a general rule) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5247-geeks-paradise/#findComment-167523 Share on other sites

Brendan
I play shouty distortion pedals though cheap solid state amps and end songs wherever I so choose, sometimes mid verse. Oh and I apologise Honabelushi but there was no pun intended. I thought this thread was about our own geekish habits. Well I collect scales. That little beauty there is a Salter?s compressed spring for the mid 20th centaury, produced and calibrated for use by the Royal Mail.
