I'm a mother, she isn't.

I'm a mother too, Moos. A bad mother. And how that beeyatch even begin to be putting her face near your bidness?

She think she cool? Tell that hoochie she cool like muthaf*ckin' Coolio, cool. Ha.

We OGs gotta roll together. Word.

The problem has to do with generalisation pure and simple - nothing to do with prams/boobs/nappies/drivers etc. Its not what you say it's the way that you say it. Some posters have a penchant for headlines that would book them a place on the editorial team of any tabloid. Type the inflamatory line and click "post Message". Sit back and enjoy.
Just watch out for me, come August I will be having one of those big bright prams! I apologise for anyones' ankles I might crash into, but got to do some posing with the pram!:)) and I PROMISE not to stop the pram in the middle of the pavement to chat about flexi tots nappies with my friend!

All that puzzles me about prams/buggies is that they used to be fairly small things that were easily folded up and didn't take up lots of room, got onto buses without problems and now many of them are the equivalent of a 4x4. Do people really go hiking over fields with their buggy that they need all these huge tyres that stick a foot out from the body of the buggy and are the bits that crack off ankles and block shop aisles?

Now what does look like fun and what I regret wasn't invented when my little sis came along were the buggy boards. ;-)

Some people are less aware of their personal space than others: some of those people might be parents with buggies and then again some of them are people sans buggies standing in the middle of the aisle at Sainsburys, or are leery drunk peeps at 2am outside the kebab shop all over the pavement or not moving down the platform on the tube. The point is this is life and that for some, life with a pram and all the baby faff that goes with it, you are more cumbersome than you used to be with just your William Rose shopping bag and the pavements are not huge, and sniff sniff, life is so hard...

Just gotta learn to live with each other maybe, if that's errr not too hard or idealistic. Yep - boobs are out everywhere to feed darling babies as we're constantly being told breast is best and as someone pointed out, why should mothers stay at home for 6 months. I agree totally that pooey nappies on tables, sofas, bars, on my head is unacceptable. But that's another story of course...

    • Why didn’t you challenge it then?
    • Yes. Google street view shows one on this spot from 2012 to2020. I agree that they provide a useful service. I recently passed one and it was being used by someone who looked like they could be 'of no fixed abode' making a free call.

    • I think free calls and WiFi might be considered a public service. Many, of course, are on contracts which offer much of that, but not everybody, and particularly not those who can't afford such contracts. Or maybe those are the sort of people you don't want to be mixing with on Lordship Lane.
