Hi,

I have just learnt that the DKH store is to introduce a one way system in the store itself. Not content with us scanning our own purchases, they now want us to learn how to avoid congestion in the store.

As you enter the store you will follow large red floor arrows that will take you up and down every aisle (thus ensuring you do not miss any product so as to maximise sales) without causing 'Backdraft' (must be a traffic sale term). It will also ensure that pockets do not occur at the end of each aisle.

In short, I feel that this may be a way forward (Ikea have arrows) but loath the way the big stores dictae to us the way you shop!!

Your comments are welcome.

Regards,

Libra Carr.

Sheep ....... One of my work colleagues was phoned yesterday by her partner, who informed her that Brockwell Park was full of cows and that the police could not trace where they had come from.

She was amazed/excited and proceeded to tell everybody within earshot about it until at some point she realised what the date was .....

As for me, I believed it too, I thought it was something to do with the Lambeth Country Show .....

Sorry admin I know it's off-topic but it's quite funny, well I thought so anyway :)

    • If you haven't already watched this totally shocking docudrama on Channel 4 then make sure you watch it and tell everyone you know to watch It It lays bare the scandalous, harmful and lethal  (in some cases) behaviour of the water companies since privatisation.  I for one didn't realise that the water companies pay the regulator/environment agency to regulate them in one mega conflict of interest.   This is as shocking as the post office/postmasters scandal with even more far reaching consequences.
    • We have been going to Franklins for many years. On the whole we have found both the food and service extremely good,  and good value for money, but there have been one or two low points, including unfortunately a very expensive but disappointing  meal with friends which I was paying for. I think it may depend on who is in the kitchen. We had a really excellent meal from their Christmas menu before Christmas this year, which for the quality of the food and cooking we didn't feel was expensive at all. I think it would be a real shame if it was turned into a pub. It isn't that kind of place. That's why we like it.
    • Surely if they had done that they would have taken responsibility for removing the car?
