'you' instead of 'your' in sentences. Is it just me? Is this just a popular error or am I missing something?

I actually attempted to research this online. Maybe I'm an idiot - I just don't get it.

Someone please educate me (if you understand what I'm talking about).

This does cause me irrational rage.

housemates that don't take the rubbish out. or the recycle. or the food waste.

then it piles up....and up...and up...and you think it can't possibly get any higher....and then they leave the lid open.

and guess what. then i give in and take it out.

but each time i wait, just in case someone else might decide take it out.

but it hasn't happened yet >:(

Hundreds of multi coloured big plastic bins all over the place getting in the way of walking, driving, blocking gates, steps smelling overloaded, and too many bin cart wagons blocking roads and making noise everywhere.

Some plastic company has got a tasty contract with Southwark council.

That used to drive me mad as well, until I realised that if they said "the next station" only, it didn't mean the train would be stopping there, and if they said "the next stop" only, it could be a stop at a signal.

So it does actually make sense to say "station stop", even if it's irritating :)

When you join several other people waiting for the green man at a zebra crossing, after a while think 'this is taking a bl**dy age' and then realise that none of the people who got there before you have pressed the button.

    • Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
    • I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
    • I bought myself a litter picker from Amazon and do go round and pick up . No one else does. I guess they just don't have the time what with job obligations and kids etc. Question. ...should we pay more council tax in return for a better service? This debate could go on forever.
    • Walking around ED at lunchtime shocked at the amount of owners walking their dogs. Do they not realise  they are risking their dogs life by doing this?
