Necessity makes strange bedfellows, or something to that effect, but full nudity definitely wouldn't work in my favour. A hint of cleavage in a formal meeting is generally enough - men are so easily terrified, bless them.

At least that has some connection with Christmas. I'd have even been OK if they'd have called it "Stay For Christmas Day". But nothing. Not even a mention of snow.

Yet every bloody Christmas it gets dragged out.

My Dad used to say that the singer sounded like he had a cleft palate. Never been able to get the image out of my mind since, every time I hear that song.

Were they Nordic walking? It burns more fat than ordinary walking and is improves the circulation.

This guy I took a picture of in Streatham a while back takes it to another level.

I'm having to take a break from Facebook. "Russell Brand to appear on Newsnight" .. "Russell Brand calls Nigel Farage a 'Poundshop Enoch Powell'" .. "Russell Brand storms RBS offices!" .. "RBS employee writes hilarious open letter to Russell Brand!" .. "Russell Brand responds to hilarious open letter from RBS employee" ..

I thought this listening to R4 this morning. The reporter asked a crying teacher who had been off that day, "and how does it make you feel knowing that you weren't there that day".

I just thought "fuck off".

I found the ITV reporting just as intrusive and disrespectful. It is never appropriate to produce and/or broadcast this sort of sensationalist 'journalism' - truly gutter press at its worst..

    • It was a bit of a jump by me from Cyclemonkey seeing a similar presence at London Bridge. Larnaca wouldn't have brought a huge amount of fans, but it was the first time Palace have hosted a competitive European tie. There's the issue of Northern Cyprus and heightened media interest around footy because of the Villa Maccabi game at the moment, so that may have had a bearing on the scale of the operation. It does seem unlikely if it was at four o'clock, though.
