I can't imagine he's suddenly going to treat his managers, chefs and other staff any differently from the horrendous way he's treated them in the past, whether the locals love him or not :(

I hope to be proved wrong. Not that I intend ever going there.

Hi Sue

When i got married in 1998, we rented rooms above the old wishing well, for my inlaws. The rooms were affordable and were very nice. My inlaws, were not fussy, being from Belfast, you would not be. :)But they loved the place, and the owners back then, the McCanns, laid on a great pre and post wedding party for us. Now thats what I call a good pub.And the ales were great :)

You cynic you. Just the other day I was chatting to a barmaid in Deptford and she was telling me that the previous owners of the Cherry Tree had in fact sold up so that they could donate the money to charity. They also promote race relations in deprived areas.

True story Bro.

The Ivy House is an excellent pub which often has free live music.

So does the EDT.

That's two, for a start.

The Rye used to on Saturdays - they even had a little ballot box

to keep it, and I voted YES.

I think the NO vote won though because it stopped - some people

don't like bands in pubs.
