Last night I was up into the small hours of the morning. Why? I was having a good stalking session on facebook that's why. Now there's a very select few on this forum who are in the incredibly privileged position of knowing my full identity in the real world, the inner circle of the clique if you will but over the past week I've been coming out of the cracks so to speak causing people to faint or in most cases demand my autograph. Anyway, I was having a good rummage round a few photo albums (I tidied up afterwards) and in doing so stumbled across the album of a certain new born to a forum regular. Well I was genuinely touched to see how many forum regulars had rallied around the new parents in offering support and help with the new arrival. There's a picture of Jah Lush holding the little nipper and look on her face tells me that she was as comfortable in his arms as she is with her parents and this lead me to ask myself a question. Is this more than just an area forum? Well I think that by judging by the various pictures I saw then the answer is a resounding yes. In the beginning I looked down my nose at the drinks gatherings and sneered at you all as a gang of saddo's but over the last year I've come to realise that through this forum some of you have gone on to spurn the scorn of others and develop lasting friendships that with any luck will stand the test of time.

Who did I uncover yesterday?

David Carnell. I don't know if anyone's told you this Dave but you have a bit Max Pirkiss about you in my opinion. Even though he's younger than you.

Mockney. Mockney, I often find your posts interesting and you're also another Holymoly.com fan but in the nicest possible way you remind me a bit of Kermit the frog, sorry.

Mark. Our esteemed forum creator. Sorry you don't remind me of anyone off the tele, sorry.

Tillietrotter. I've wanting to seet you out and yes my dear you're the spit of Kiera, no really.

Huguenot. Well well well our far eastern friend. Good to finally put a face to the opinions.

On a final note. If you live in east dulwich or the surrounding areas of forest hill (me), Sydenham, west dulwich and the village, Peckham and Nunhead and you're not on the east dulwich forum then I'm afraid.........well.........you're nobody really.

Wolfie the stalking weirdo from the EDF, that's how you will always be known to me. I thought I had problems. I don't mind the odd pint but the levels that you have gone to are very strange. Do yourself a favour mate, buy a f*cking guitar or an Xbox. Get yourself a girlfriend or import one from the old eastern block.

PS:Get a life you freak.

David Carnell. I don't know if anyone's told you this Dave but you have a bit Max Pirkiss about you in my opinion. Even though he's younger than you.

Hmmm.... a few thoughts:

1) I'm worried you have this chap as a reference point in your head. I'd never heard of him before.

2) He appears to be 10. I know I'm younger than the average forumite but steady on....

3) He has blond hair and blue eyes. There, the resemblance ends. Otherwise I also look like Claudia Schiffer.

4) He does however appear on a "teen idol" website - should I ever wish to pick up jailbait I'll bear this in mind.

Good work BBW. Or should that be Barry George?

Barry George/Bulsara.

I'll get my rain mac.

I use my own name but I doubt he will find me.. maybe easier with someone like David Carnell or Georgia due to their fabulously imaginative board names! he he..

I must admit I LOVE a good facebook stalk, I was gutted when they stopped listing your friends status updates..

You know it's a lot easier to just turn up to drink/curry/park and talk to people, it's neither cliquey nor secreti e around here.

I must say kernit is one I've never heard before, I normally get Paul from the wonder years.

And smug people, he can't see my account but doesn't stop him seeing phitosnof us all on others' or on forum drinks photos!!

Now a residential property, i'm told it was a bottle shop in days gone (the house was built around 1900) by and i'd like to learn more about the history of the business that was once here - name, photos, anything at all really! Seems to be very little from open source research so i'm hoping anyone with history in the area can provide any insight!  Starting here before i contact Southwark Archives or similar orgs to get any information and pictures (any advice here also would be welcome). Thank you
    • Portable ramps are available for businesses to use in this sort of situation, aren't they? I don't know whether one would be suitable for use here, or whether they have the space to store one. Lots of people have  permanent or temporary disabilities which mean they have to use crutches or a wheelchair.
