The night stalker - a burgler and rapist who preys on the elderly in SE London - is active again:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1193643/Night-Stalker-serial-rapist-strikes-times-fortnight.html

There have been attacks or suspected attacks in East Dulwich. He is Caribbean, aged 35-45, and apparently wears a motorcycle helmet to hide his identity. Typically he wakes victims with a bright torch.

This weirdo has been attacking elderly people around 80 years old since 1990 but still not caught. Perhaps a bit of vigilance might be worthwhile. Presumably he must follow people to figure out where they live, so perhaps he might be seen doing this.

On the news now. He is suspected of over 100 offences in South London and Surrey for 2 decades now.

Victims are usually around 80 years old.

His usual modus operandi is to break into homes through the rear window and cut the electrivity off.

However, word has gone out from the Authorities not to be over worried as cases these days are very rare.

Well the Nunhead Forum seems to be a little light on membership. As a consequence it's somewhat quiet over there. Discussions, to date, are limited to threads such as 'Hi!' and 'Does anyone have the time?'.. that sort-of thing.

It needs some help from people interested in Nunhead, like this place did when it started. From small acorns and all that jazz. Perhaps, even, help from people who are constantly banging-on about Nunhead - like yourself. After all, three quarters of your posts are about inequalities between the two areas. Now one of those wrongs have been righted, you ought to be all over it like a rash.

So my question is this: when push comes to shove, despite all the rhetoric.. are you really all that arsed about Nunhead?

After all, three quarters of your posts are about inequalities between the two areas.

no they are not they are basically about local council corruption !

So my question is this: when push comes to shove, despite all the rhetoric.. are you really all that arsed about Nunhead?

Answer : who's shoving ? not you bobby ? anyway give me a zebra crossing this side of the rye that's not likely to get some poor fucker killed and i'll give you.......more of the same

I don't see why this topic couldn't be discussed here just as well as in the East-Dulwich-specific part of the Forum. Far from being the 'main part' the Lounge actually gets more traffic.

Oh please because the forum has been overun by the moral police.....it's songs of praise 24/7 !

Perhaps the low turnout and activity on the Nunhead Forum an uncomfortable embarrassment to you?

A reflection on Nunhead itself, perhaps?

Regarding the 'Night Stalker', we are talking about someone who's pattern of offending covers one quarter of South London and beyond, several hundred square miles, a couple of million people.. I think I'm right in saying that means it falls into 'not East Dulwich speficic'.

I have no idea what this means. Please explain?

Er why would it be ? why do you see to feel the need to send people elsewhere ? have you been in Belfast recently...?

and as for " think I'm right in saying that means it falls into 'not East Dulwich speficic'."

Nonsense considering this weirdo has attacked old people in the ED area i think my starry eyed friend that it most certainly does.

Why are you talking about, Hornimans Museum Peckham Rye Park , Dulwich Village, Rye Lane, or any other location that falls outside of ED, now stop being silly.

At this rate you will shift Barry Road out of ED to get your crime figures down !

I speak to my neighbours so why would i want to blog with them as well ? don't make no sense to me.....anyway i am too busy trawling through all the gibberish on this here super blog and any Mark the founder loves me and says that despite my regular visits to solitary that i have been given special status, special enough that they are willing to cater for my special needs. now you concentrate on your own posts and internet activity and you will get on ok, keep nagging me and i will turn your name back to front and start calling you bob.

    • Perhaps the OP already has, hence her question?
    • you can answer this yourself by emailing him and seeing if you get an acknowledgement
    • Anyone else having problems getting responses from Cllr Hartley (Dulwich Hill ward)? I notice that someone else on here suggested that he never acknowledges emails from residents?
