Big Sam has to admit that Carew is a massive waste of space and offload him in favour of a striker in Jan.

End of year report - Allardyce, Samuel : Form IIB....

"After having difficulty settling in, Sammy has been popular with his fellow classmates and has learned to play nicely and not to kick the class football onto the boiler house roof when he doesn't get his way.

His penchant for 'big' pals has, however, led him to neglect coursework and take the odd short cut.

That this approach garnered some popularity led to a complacency that has served to lessen his acheivements to date. We hope next term will see Sammy make new friends, especially those who have a habit of putting the fucking ball in the net."

Could be worse - Good to see Gold come out and say that the way things stand the pitch would be too far away from the fans if The Irons moved to the Olympic Stadium - let the Os have it.

And I was all ready with my quip asking how the view was whilst you were there.... nevermind

Our squad is becoming depleted with yet another injury to a key player. We don't quite have the squad yet to cover the number of important players that we have injured or suspended (Lambert, Lallana, Chaplow, Fonte, Jaidi, Seaborne and now possibly Hoosvelt). We are having a real problem with our back line. I am hoping that our Japanese signing(Tadanari Lee) will be good when he arrives next week.

Not a bad January. Through to the fifth round of the Cup, won four and drew one in the league, scored 21 while conceding 3, including thrashings of Millwall and now Leeds tonight. And Zigic becomes the first Blues player to score four since Kenny Burns in 1976....all hail Chris Hughton.

What do the 'ammers fans think of their new signing Ravel Morrison?

As a Utd fan I'm disappointed to see him go as he has fantastic potential.

He carries a lot of off-the-field baggage, enough for Fergie to say he needs to get away from Manchester, but not loaning him out, or, according to reports, putting in a buy-back clause in his contract, suggests Fergie has given up on him completely.

Agree with El PiBe, BBC website is tosh :)

He could be a great signing - or a liability. I think players like Nolan could help calm him down and Allardyce has dealt with plenty of stroppy gits before. Interesting to see if he'll get a game sooner rather than later after Sam's vow to bring in the new blood following the Ipswich fuck-up.

Looking forward to seeing Maynard in action as we've needed a striker for a while. I think he could be the dogs.

    • I think giving toiletries, as well as food, is a great idea.  The issues around partly-used items are to do with hygiene, dignity, etc.
    • Another very strong recommendation for Oddbods. They were extremely responsive, very clear with quotes, suggestions and ideas, willing to work within my budget where possible and very swift and polite once working in my flat. I had various sets of floating shelves installed (including them fixing up a half-finished, slightly failed home diy attempt from us), a rotten cupboard shelf replaced and new set of hinges installed on a cupboard door. We're really pleased with their work, it looks great. They suggested a few little extra details on the work, which were so appreciated and made everything look even neater.   Easily, the best handypeople I've ever worked with. Strongly recommended.

    • Aroma coffee lab's coffee is top notch (and I have been known to be a bit picky about coffee😆). I had tried it when the owner was running a little coffee stand outside the shop and was impressed. I'm pleased to see he has taken over the shop itself.
