Although it looks very much like the grand total of 50p has been lavished on this ludicrously niche TV Channel(aimed I gather at 3 men and a highland terrier ensconced in a bothy somewhere North of Castelbay), is it the nichest of the niche? Or is there a Channel that transcends even BBC Alba in terms of minscule telly audiences(Channel 5 doesnt count).

I have a friend that is in the know. BBC Alba has caused a great deal of annoyance within the Beeb as it has been set up as a cap doffing exercise to the Scots Gaelic speakers and SNP. It has a tiny audience but is set up as proper channel with a big budget and its own bandwidth. Other (bigger) niche areas have to grovel for space on the other BBC channels.

I meant bad enough as in for an ignorant foreigner like myself to try and comprehend, I couldn't even begin to try and pronounce place names in Wales when I was there, I'll just stick to my antipodean slang I think :)

Thats probably safest. Nationalist mudslinging wasnt on my agenda but Mr.Palaeologus summed up my initial suspicions....except for the 50p budget thing.
