She's doing a joint stint with Portillo.

Still think the media following Corbyn down the road at 1:00 AM is over the top.

Needs an Alistair Campbell quick.

Oh dear God, really?

Not good.

For everything good he's doing (mental health shadow minister is agreat idea for example), he's making some dodgy appointments.

It's not compulsory, he didn't refuse anything. I've no problem with him making his choices on these sorts of things, very honest of him, but just not sure how it will go down with the electorate as a whole, although they may decide of course that the media shitsorm is just that.

I was being a bit cynical :)

Agree that we are the sort of country where you don't have to

wear patriotism on your sleeve.

the media is just going over the top now - hope people take it

with a pinch of salt.

I really admire him for that.

It must have taken a lot of guts to stick to his principles when he knew all eyes would be on him and the inevitable criticism follow.

I just saw it on the news earlier. I wondered whether I would have mouthed it with my fingers crossed behind my back under those circumstances.

Good for him. Not so much a breath of fresh air as a gust!

PMQs today - Corbyn changed the format by asking questions emailed to him

and trying to keep it civilised. Didn't come across as extreme at all.

Cameron seemed to answer questions asked (without being rude) but then did

get angry with the SNP. Strange but sweet question about a tiger and rhino.

So no disaster - but Cameron not really tested .... yet :)

    • Hello We are looking to get a dog of 1 year plus - know how hard puppy training is and want to avoid it! Also keen to know dog’s personality before we jump in as friends have had very difficult experiences with puppies who turned out to be tricky.  Ideally would like to adopt but also open to buying - does anyone have any ideas of where one might buy a dog?  thanks in advance!
    • I think you have been very kind towards the the council.  And even kinder in your description of Peckham High Street (LOL). Peckham High Street Rye Lane is awful.  I know it is a very controversial opinion   but I am happy that some parts are going to developed and re built.   The dirty pavements, graffiti shops that put their stock all over pavements and racing cyclists make it not an enjoyable place to be in.  In the old days any business would have to keep their premises in good order.   I am much happier being near a simple bit of over greenery or weed.   It is much cleaner and feels safer to be next to.   Some parts of Peckham are plagued by Zombie like people who have fallen prey to substance abuse.  And I don't see the council putting much effort into helping these poor lost souls.
    • Our refuse collectors leave rubbish all the way down the hill after they have emptied the bins. Everywhere you go you see rubbish everywhere. On some days walking through the high street in Peckham can be truly depressing with plastic bags and paper blowing around everywhere, Peckham and other streets deserve better than this Council complacency. I'm sure it wasn't so bad back in the day. Councils everywhere, faced with cuts in revenue, must have decided a long time ago  that litter picking  and rubbish collection were not so important. I think a clean, tidy environment makes everyone feel better about their home environment. Btw, I'm ok with a few weeds. They are just wild flowers in an inconvenient place.
    • Have just enjoyed watching 100s of cyclists go past on Peckham Rye west. Couple of penny farthings, lit up bikes and music too!
