Jeremy
I love it when Sainsburys have a beer bargain bin. Individual cans and bottles of Carlsberg, Fosters, etc which have been separated from the multi-packs. Labels have come off the bottles, cans are dented, and a quarter of the contents might even be curiously missing. But they're only 20p each, so I can't help filling the trolley. It's like I revert to studenthood. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7065-rot-shop/page/2/#findComment-227122 Share on other sites
HonaloochieB
I was going to put forward sweetcorn eaten from the tin with each layer liberally coated in salad cream as a rot snack. But then I realised the sweetcorn was Green Giant and the salad cream was Heinz so it's probably not really 'rotty' enough is it? Keef
I remembered this thread when I was in tesco express the other night, and felt shamed. I ended up buying some posh pate and cranberry sauce rather than my pukka pie! bigbadwolf
Don't lie to us Keef. I bet you had some tinned Sardines in tomato sauce spread on some mighty white didn't you! Probably washed down with some White lightning from costcutter followed by a poor mans spliff. Keef
I can't even go along with that as a joke, being that I hate all things sardine (well fish in general actually). Oh, and is a poor mans spliff a butt rolly? If so, I haven't been reduced to that since I lived in Liverpool! bigbadwolf
No Keef. A poor mans spliff is a scud containing a penny pinching sprinkle of hash, as you well know. Lit with your last match or off the stove. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7065-rot-shop/page/2/#findComment-227632 Share on other sites

bigbadwolf
I also pay the extra so that their dog that's aptly named "187" doesn't tear my jugular out if I slam the freezer a little too hard when I'm pissed. He's got that poor outlook from being named after one of the crappest Samuel Jackson films. They could have gone for Pulp, Snake or Coach Carter, but no 187, and we know what that's code for. *Bob*
Local 'super'market up in Sheffield used to have a basket out front selling 'mystery tins' - ie canned goods which had lost their labels - for 5p a shot. A surprisingly entertainly way to spend an evening. (When you're broke.) It's stodge for British people who don't have a clue what real food is and, if they did they wouldn't eat it' on the Le Chardon thread, by any chance? Just wondered...
