Walters Way (in forest hill) ALL night parties

Great, another sleepless night is store .. these guys set up bands outside in their back garden and when the band is having a break the DJ kicks in .. they have a reputation for not letting up until literally 4am/6am! Their last party was only about 2 months ago!

Apparently tonight its their annual party - fair enough, no probs with that but think they bothered to stick even a scrap piece of paper through post boxes to let the locals know .. that way neighbours could make plans to go away (especially when you have a newborn!) to avoid sitting frustrated on my Saturday night ..

I'm at a stage where I'm torn. I would probably be swearing about this, but at the same time, sad that I wasn't going to this type of party anymore.

we (and everyone else in the neighbourhood who were not invited) called on the noise disruption team and they've been over to have a word .. they apparently will shut down at 11pm .. we shall see ..

to be fair its good to see people having fun (here i sit on a saturday night on the forum ..) but it would have just been good to have the option to go away for the evening and leave them to it .. oh well :-)

Well if its where they live, what can they do? I have nothing against all-nighters, as long as its not every weekend.

If they didn't stop then you are free to call the Southwark noise team again, they have the legal right to confiscate the equipment. All night parties are fine, all night parties where the music is keeping everyone up within a mile radius are not.

I'd love to go to a party where they were playing The Shamen. On the subject of noisy neighbours, it's a toughie. I'd sooner have people having fairly civilised parties with a bit of music and drinking than the sights and sounds of a 24-hour crack house. Having said that, if your neighbours are frequently having these noisy parties, I appreciate that your patience is wearing thin. I'd also be annoyed that I wasn't invited... Maybe have your own party to make up?
