We discussed this on another thread. It's in the terms of service you agree to whe you create an account. If like me you think it's a poor show then just don't upload any photos, I certainly don't.

But no point getting uppity about it if you put the little tick in the 'i agree' box ;)

I got into Facebook last year and in all honesty I really enjoyed it for about 6 months but then I realised I'd flogged a dead horse long enough and got bloody sick of it. I've only got one picture on my page and they're welcome to it.

Facebook also serves as a good reminder of how annoying girls can be sometimes.

O.K, perhaps I jumped in head first on this one.

I know I don't have to read them but on my facebook girls my age (25) or there abouts are constantly updating their status and harp on about what they're doing i.e Emma is eating, Ayshe is picking her nose. This happens every 5 minutes to half an hour.

Pointless bordering on compulsive.

Fella's tend not to do this unless they're batting for the other team.

but why? it's meaningless. The number of people posting this "advice" on facebook is like a plague

it's not true

nothing has changed

and what do you think the messages mean when they say "by using this application you allow it to used your data to share with partner" or whatever it says?

people are spreading this message without discrimination and it scares me how quickly nonsense spreads

Just so that everyone know's in advance, me and the advertising execs that make the Churchill insurance ad are going to copy and paste Seans facebook pic onto the nodding dog. We feel that this will make a much more realistic platform for a company that always likes to lull it's customers into a false sense of security and then baffle them senseless futher down the line.

Just thought you'd like to know.

    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring.
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
