Hey, I had a friend who wore a silver band on her wedding finger and wondered why she couldn't get a man.

When I pointed out the obvious, she said she couldn't take it off because it would be bad luck.

:))

Good luck bbkings, and just go for it - what's the worst that could happen? A bit of embarrassment.

and what if she happens to be a lesbian in a long-term relationship?;-)

and what if she happens to be a lesbian in a long-term relationship?

She will be flattered by the attention nonetheless and go home and brag to her GF that some guy chatted her up in the park. Her GF may become terrified that she may lose her, and to a man, and promptly propose. :))

This is interesting as these are traits I see in myself too :-)

But Jumpinjackflashes description matches pretty well, anyway slept on all the comments and am going to take the plunge next time whether she's married with child or not, if nothing else, just to make her day.

Or she may knee him in the groin, poke his eyes out and set the dog on him...oooh gosh, you've got me going now!

I initially read that as you beat them with their own ugly sticks.

Bad move there BB, ignore the life style coaches on here telling you to'go for it' and 'faint heart never won fair maid'.

Shadenfreude junkies all of them.

No, worship her from afar and forever wonder what might have been. Play sad songs on the stereo and have a little weep in an ecstacy of melancholy.

You'll probably get a few songs/poems/short stories out of it.

Or a limerick anyway.

    • Try pavement, this is London, not the US. The Mayor increased his proportion of council tax in 2025/26 to pay for "more" haha PC's but my understanding is they were cut not increased. A rouse by the Mayor to take more and give nothing in return.  Troubling and far too common here.  Just be careful where you get it out
    • Just saw one of them on lordship lane scanning the area on the sidewalks in a hood and mask on an e-bike.  I just pointed at them pretending that I was on the phone with the cops and he darted away.  Absolute scum. Hard problem to solve. I'm hopeful there are strategies in place to keep our community safe for this but it's troubling.
