If "part" of Scotland is described thus, which "part" of Scotland is not "part of the island which is known as Great Britain"??

Tongue in cheek Jah - just thought it was amusing why someone would think there was any need to point out that Scotland was in Great Britain, only an American would think that was news to anyone surely.

How long has this been the case Mick?

Is it part of The British Isles, as well. or is only part of it "part of The British Isles" ??

Confused, Bexley

p.s. "Edited" as I missed the comma after "as well" which I profusely apologise for.

    • Very happy to add my recommendation for TDR property maintenance. Tony and his team have transformed my front garden, breaking up a bare patch of concrete and laying a beautiful victorian tiled path. They've also repaired a wall and a fence for us. Richard's tiling has been meticulous and Tony's communication has been great throughout the process. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

    • Shame, go there!  Although embarrassingly we only used it takeaway during lockdown.  It's a Persian store/cafe/restaurant if you are unaware of the cultural reference in the name.   Just checked the menu and it is phenomenal and good value too, thanks for reminding me to go there  https://foratasteofpersia.co.uk/restaurant/
