With PGC, martini all the way. Hard to beat a good G&T too.


I am partial to margheritas too mind, bloody mary's as hangover cure, tom collins on a hot day and all mashes and sours. Oh and yep, go mojito out of the offered choice.

I think deep down you may have to be right. We have an awful lot of booze in the house, and it's only the beer and wine that we ever run out of. Much as I'd like to come home from work and say Darling I've had a terrible day, mix me a Manhatten, a glass of red is just more appealing.

    • Toad rage? Crikey, what have you done to upset the amphibians? How do you find the frogs? 😃
    • How long is a piece of string?  Depends whether you are building 'new towns' or brown field urban sites. I expect developers, planners and builders know far more than we do.  Where are you getting your information about infrastructure from ?  Your comment on new reservoirs seems more relevant to population expansion and/or climate change.
    • There was a previous thread about them about 6 months ago.     • The Government has set an ambitios target to build 1.5 million new homes bu the end of this 4 year term. Possibly unachievable due to various issues in the building industry but ambitious none the less.  What they seem to have failed to plan for, which was brought home by this year's drought, is adding more inferstructure including Reservoirs, power lines and sewerage treatment centres.  Ate they setting us up for more problems in the future?
