I've pondered too TM, not for long though, it's not me really.

I reckon who we have here are none other than Richard Jobson and Jay Strongman.

Jobbo singer in The Skids and Strongo DJ at The Dirtbox and many other clubs, singer in The El Trains and coworker with me in a couple of Oxford Street menswear shops.

It's obvious the pair of them are in the mood for some suburban chicks.

Same here . Where ever it is remains a mystery. None of my single friends know either .

My firend did that and now he's married to a 24 year old Peruvian girl 20 years his junior. I enjoyed the wedding though.

Its just not there. Anywhere . I have five single girl friends ages 38-44, all different, attractive, aproachable, interesting, not too annoying or irritating. There is nothing wrong with any of them. They try everything they can to meet decent men, they are always out and joined to all kinds of clubs. They are not too picky nor will they just settle for anything to avoid being on their own. In my opinion, meeting the right one is more down to luck than judgement .

Haha Legal! Im with you there, no addictions very important! Ex before last was addicted/obsessed with porn and w****d on average five times a day, sometimes more, regardless of being in a relationship.. Not what a girl should know or want at all .

Own teeth I agree, though this may change when im 60 .

I dont mind a small beer belly, lets face it, most of the 40+ age population have one.

Personal hygiene very important . How on earth does a stinky men expect any one to fancy them!? ( maybe they dont care )

psychotic illness a No NO because they always forget to take the meds.

Having a job is a positive because you dont want them laying in your bed all day and poncing off you .

I agree with above from Daizie - I am actually divorced (and a mum) something pretty common in the late thirties and early forties I would have thought and I know there's a few like me around here (yes, really, in ED!) so where are the divorced men/divorced Dads! Do they all move away from East D 'cos it's too expensive???

Most men want sex, not a lifetime commitment.

After they've suffered the indignity of a 'loaded against us divorce', why repeat that mistake when sex is readily available to most people with their own teeth, non-stinky, no psychotic illness etc.

Many modern western women are 'picky', strident, and demanding, so it's not surprising there is a shortage of takers when there is the danger of a repeat performance.

I am convinced that the law and the way it is administered against the male species, is succeeding in driving a wedge through the heart of matrimony.

If for example the law stated 'you can only take from the wreckage what you put in' would marriage be such an attractive proposition to the female?

I must point out that I am not a misogynist, I think many women are lovely, delightful, sunny creatures, and have lots of ex-girlfriends who are still happy to talk to me, but I only have one ex-wife.......

    • I'm not sure it's sensible  to presume any agreement from interlocutors, but if you do, then I do agree that it's the right thing to say so. My own guess -- it's nothing more -- is that the officers were acting just to effect an arrest on arrival, as requested, quite possibly without any knowledge of the content of wretched tweet at all*, and that their being armed was absolutely incidental.  But I don't know any reliable facts. I do think the turning up (5?) en masse to do so was possibly complacent and unthinking, if there was no reason to believe the arrestee was a threat.  If they had  been doing so for good reason, I guess they could have had at least one weapon trained at him, and had  him hands above head or on the ground in no time.  But I know no reliable facts of the incident whatsoever.  Perhaps they were Father Ted fans -- seriously -- and trogged along, on a quiet afternoon, to see the man himself.  Perhaps they and/or their CO will get a severe bollocking from above.  I don't know. * But even that with some reservations.  The last time I looked up cases on wrongful arrest, years ago, I think I remember there being held then to be at least some onus on the acting arresting officer to be satisfied that  the required grounds for a lawful arrest  did exist.  And I don't know any of the facts of the present case.
    • They carry guns at the airport.  It may not make it ok but that is a fact.  In France and America they all carry guns.
    • TfL and the Met had a small team a few years ago dedicated to addressing bike theft.  https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2011/february/officers-target-bike-thieves-and-successfully-reunite-stolen-bikes-with-their-owners I assume that went with austerity. There is now a Task Force https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/metropolitan-police-service-cycle-taskforce And some advice from the MPS: https://www.met.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/keeping-vehicles-safe/how-safe-is-your-bike/ The marking service is good and helps.  As a cyclist you do your best to minimise the likelihood and I would never leave a high end bike locked on the street out of sight.  I've had three bikes stolen in London over the last two decades. Gum Tree sadly makes it too easy and for every bike theft there is someone knowingly or unknowingly prepared to buy a bargain that is stolen.
