Hi ,could you give details about route ?

I've not got copy of Living South and after a quick scroll through thread can only see that it starts in ? near Rosendale / west Dulwich is it ? at 12 and will come to Townley Rd.

Want to bring elderly mum and need to work out where to drop her off ,best vantage point .

Sorry if I'm being dense and have missed something.

Hi Intexasathe, Living South dont have the route, SE22 do.

The actual parade starts at the corner of Townley Road, Lordship Lane at 3pm. Do you want your mother to join the parade? If so their will be escorts on the day who can help your mother.

Louisa dear, the smell of cats was becoming rather overwhelming... so we are all relieved that you raised this issue yourself. There are drugs you can get from your GP for a sensitive bladder, and in the mean-time, how about some Tena-pants?

Santa's Christmas parade will be in Dulwich, 12pm onwards. Park Hall Road, West Dulwich will host Santa on his sledge at 12pm, bring the Children along and Wish Santa a merry Christmas.

Then see Santa with his helpers in Dulwich Village saying hi to the Children at Panino D' Oro at 1.45 pm til 2.15 pm

The route of the parade will start at the corner of Townley Road and Lordship lane, where the parade will congregate from 230pm until 3pm, when the parade will then head down lordship lane towards the goosegreen roundabout. This should take about 35 -40 mins, we are all required to sing carols from the songsheets provided. We will also have lanterns made from candles and jam jars. Plus I recommend your children have torches with them, its now getting dark around 3.45 so the more light the better. We will arrive at the grotto in Zenoria street where Santa will sit in the grotto and Doris the donkey will stand by him and you can take pictures of your children with Santa and Doris the donkey, this will go on until 5.15pm. Doris needs to leave, and Santa will stay on til 6pm.

oh dear , all the more reason to stay away from parents like you :-S

Brendan you are being a very bad boy now and if you keep it up Santa will not be coming down your chimney.

The parade sounds wonderful and I'll definitely be there on Saturday.

Louisa - if you're still reading this thread then please come!

    • Why change it?  You’ve got a fantastic historic, memorable name and you want to change it for something innocuous,  meaningless and empty
    • From the school newsletter:   A New Name for Dog Kennel Hill As you know we have been discussing and consulting with stakeholders about a  name change at DKH for a while. Following engagement with staff, pupils and  families, we gathered all views on a name change for the school and after  careful consideration of the feedback, the Local Committee and the Trust have  agreed with changing the school name to Grove Primary School from  September 2025.  Over the next few months we will begin a gradual process of changing our  name on signage, our website and emails etc. We will keep you updated.  We will be looking at designing a new logo to match the new school name and  will be working closely with a graphic designer to get creative. The school  council will be actively involved in this process. We will share the results with  you as soon as a design has been agreed and confirmed. We will be creating a  new school jumper to replace the old one, once the logo has been finalised. We  will phase this in over time.  We know that this is a welcoming change for some and that there are  parents and children who will be sad about the change. However, as a school  we think it will be a positive change for our school community and we will  work together to ensure that the ethos and culture of DKH will remain!
