sandy_rose
There's a really lovely menswear section in the ED Warehouse (Zenoria Street, behind Cafe Nero) for those who seem to have missed it. I'd spend a small fortune in a decent haberdashery/ fabric/ knitting shop if there was one.A Picturehouse wouldn't go amiss.Somewhere decent to have your nails and waxing done for decent price. An Aveda salon. More crossings, definitely.Would also love a decent japanese or dumpling place. SteveT
A bunch of armed, red-neck Texas styled vigilantes, who replace the PCSO's.Who stick it to the ne'erdowells and give it to 'em good. That should cheer up Moos as she is not interested in ducking stools and other flakey equipment. Michael Palaeologus
Can we have a flowering border on Goose Green island that spells:"Welcum to Eest Dulitch" ?That would make the young people on the 37 bus feel right at home. tasty_snacks
a thoroughly decent (or for that matter crap and dingy) gig venue. it's enormously perturbing to hear friends living in gypsy hill boasting that ash are playing on their doorstep.there are no good live music venues in south london (bar perhaps the amersham arms, new cross), and i've got far too many grey hairs to drag myself up to camden these days. stereforth
Tasty-snacks wants a decent music venue. The best venue is The Ivy House. I know it's on the wrong side of the Common, and is badly served by public transport, but as a venue it's superb. And free for hire. What it needs is someone to book the right bands and promote it. And no, I do not have an interest in the place. Not any more, anyway. Look up their web-site . andycam
Well personally I think this town lacks a live music venue in the style of say a Walkabout, where aspiring unsigned bands can play alongside more familiar names. Pickle
A Walkabout, classic! Would give me a chance to relive my first couple of years in London as a young antipodean - snakebite anyone?! Not sure the sawdust on the floor would cater well for the children on baby club days though...
