Brixton you say Brendan?

If a chap wanted to break his journey in the SE5 area, where might he obtain sustenance of a ground beef patty/bun combination?

Whilst there is in some respects nothing more funny than a group of people 'interacting' and gossipying about nonsense online, I'm confident if you took yourselves less seriously the world (or at least East Dulwich) would be a better place...

If you want proof, perhaps you should close your computer down, open your curtains, get dressed, find your house keys (their down the back of your Eames chair, next to your Maclaren buggy), and go interact with people in person.

No- I am not an 'old friend'. Is it too difficult to fathom that more than one person can stumble across the forum and feel absolute repulsion for the state of mankind...

I have only recently been introduced to the forum, and find the whole thing aboslutely baffling. It reminds me of secondary school, except well, no...there is no difference really...

    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
