Where is the dump?

Could anyone tell me where the nearest dumps are? I need to get rid of some rubble. I've had a look on Southwark's website and am none the wiser... A colleague thinks there's on on Rosendale Road somewhere... I live on Peckham Rye

You can only use the Rosendale site if you're a Lambeth resident, the Southwark site is on Manor Place off Walworth Road

I use the West Dulwich one all the time... they don't ask for your address, you know! It is on Vale Street.

The West Dulwich one is fine - they didn't inquire as to my address the last time I used it and the Manor Place dump is the other. It is also as easy to use.

A word of caution - if you use the Walworth Rd tip, check inside the bins before flinging things in. There are often people actually inside them rooting about.

Also beware of trying to take a van on a Sunday - even for household stuff. The last time I went then the bloke was really funny about it and I'm sure their website says nothing about no vans on a Sunday.

That said if you go on Saturday you get to use a different entrance (for which you will need proof of address so you can prove you aren't trade) and literally can push all the crap out of the van onto the floor and they will pile it later with an earthmover. Saves loads of time if you've got a lot of junk/rubble.
