Help....Pig in a jacket/overcoat

I know this is an English thing or at least I think it is. I just want to know if you let them cook by themselves or do they need oil/? to help them. I'm a veggie so I won't be eating them but would appreciate knowing how to cook them as I'm doing dinner.

Declan, I've been trying to find some stuff on the net for you...but when I type "Pig in a jacket/overcoat " all that comes up are things on jackets and coats...I don't know what it is you are trying to do...never heard of it...but I'd like to help...what else would you call it? I'll be by the computer for a little while longer.

use streaky bacon, stick 'em in a hot oven for 15 mins - they'll cook in their own fat. Prep now so no hassle tomorrow.

Thanks...your Ladyship....or ....not sure. Its to do with wrapping rashers(does this need to be translated) around sausages and cooking them.Dp they cook in their own juices or do you put them in oil. Merci, gratias etc

ditto the previous posts if you are simply wrapping cocktail sausages in streaky bacon...if you are covering them in cheesy pastry too (pigs in blankets) then the good news is that they also cook on their own. good luck!!
