Just to clarify that The Narnia factory of good idea's worked long and hard to come up with this one and this was before Richard Kimbles' best friend lost anything. I shall be complaining to...........someone about this. Mark my word!

Admin, I joined EDF today, and my primary interest is to sell/buy things. I presently want to sell a new radiator and am looking for hopefully a serious buyer. My question is, where, or what section of the forum, would best suit my needs? The site looks so busy, that I'm losing sense of direction: perhaps a bold tab that says SELL HERE, would help?

Thanks!

Are you not sleeping well right now?

Hello Admin,

A (rather lengthy and "piss take") post of mine has disappeared from the Chain Gang thread in the Drawing Room.

I presume this was because it was sent under the name of my alter-ego - the football hoolingan, in which case, fair cop and all of that. May I resend it under "Ladymuck" please?

Oh dear Ladymuck. Far be it for me to pass sentence but you did issue a confession on this very thread at 6.34pm yesterday. At 6.46pm Father MacGabhann requested that no further activity of this sort should take place. All was well in the world.

Now, this Chain Gang thread in the Drawing Room had it's opening post at 7.04pm yesterday. I'd like to know if you really said your Hail Marys AND if you meant them, if you did. How do you explain your post 7.04pm post using Laddy?

    • I'd be tempted to put up some sort of fence  to delineate the area and see what happens. Probably nothing.
    • Poundland have been there just over two years.
    • Has anybody here bought some land from the council to become part of their garden? There are helpful guidelines on the Southwark website here including a PDF with associated costs, however the "valuation" element has absolutely no guidelines. It could be £500 or £50,000. You will already have spent £1000 on the process before finding out what they will charge you for the land - which would certainly be frustrating if it's not affordable for you. The land in question is a tiny patch immediately attached to the front of my property, approx 4 meters wide x 1 meter long. Would like to put a fence there to separate from the pavement and allow some privacy, keep the bins more tidy. The land is of no value to anybody else and is neglected currently - the council seems to have to stopped maintaining this area between the pavement and the houses on our street.
    • I suppose wind could have blown rubbish out of bins down into the pond. But I also counted three footballs and some smaller balls. Regrettably, there is also what seems to be a large dead carp or waterfowl, hard to tell at distance. I just hope the water quality is okay. I am not clear to what extent the pond is managed.
