This is more like it! Just like the good old days!

Ah... those good-old days.. (*cue dreamy music cue and wibbly lines on-screen*)

Alan you sound like a real pompous @#$%&, which means you're right at home in ED... Keep your insults to yourself and we might, just might get along. You sound very brave when it comes to throwing insults around when noboby knows who you are, but wouldn't say boo to a goose face to face. Possibly you were bullied as a child?

Happy Days.

You mean to tell me you've got nothing better to do than scroll through previous threads (a posting wich is nearly two years old mind you) and paste them on a thread, which to all intents and puposes is to do with a non entity leaving the BBC. Jesus you need to get a life, move on man, move on.

Hardly a non-entity when you have two TV shows that do very nicely in the ratings and you have a popular Saturday morning radio show and the BBC pay you ?6 million a year.

Really, I suppose I could pu in C**t for you and david_carnell and you'd both pop up. And as a matter fo interest how the fcuk do you know if I'm fat or otherwise. Have I ever met you?

How witty, did you think that up all by yourself or did your mother give you some crayons to write it out first?

Oh I see, to be of any worth in life you have to earn ?6 million a year and be on the TV!! Well that's 99.999999% of the world population down as being non entitys then. FFS.

Do you actually own a brain, or is your entire mind devoted to 'football' and 'getting the wrong end of the stick'?

It wasn't me who called you fat. It was Alan. Remember? I remembered that he referred to you as his 'fat friend', after which, you hinted that (if he persisted) you'd duff him up. Rightly so, to be honest - he's got it coming.

You're completely missing the point. His wages are irrelevent when you take into account he has two popular TV shows and a radio show and all score high in the ratings. That makes him popular (though obviously not in your house) and not a non-entity. Non-entities don't get paid much. How much do you earn?

Bring back the Kumars at No.42........I weckon Woss should ave had 1/26th of his wages deducted due to the fact he wasn't able to speak 1/26th of the language(wuff wokings I'll admit). That's about ?230k. Give the feepayers money to a charity of our choice!

Not as much as silly bollocks Ross but enough to pay my mortgage, feed my family, you know the usual things that non entitys like you do. Clear enough?

I'm sure if someone called me 'fat' - and then I said I'd duff them up - I'd probably remember.

I can only assume it happens to you a lot - and you've offered so many people out for fights as a result that you can't remember the specific occasions.

You're right though, it was a fair while back. Before you mellowed, I think.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
