...so the Cadbury's chocolate buttons didn't work then, Andy? I'll cross that one off my list of sure-fire seduction techniques! ;-)

David Carnell = "Huh? But it seemed like such good value. What with that and the Danny Dyer box-set I've bought for "'er indoors" I thought I'd be a shoe-in.

It costs ?15 at Waitrose for the same combo....do you think that would do the trick? Money talks, right?"

Get yourself to M&S and shell out the full ?20 you cheap-skate. Your beloved is surely worth a bottle of M&S Cava?

Ha, i forgot about those, nope, they worked.

I also apologise for not spelling pilloW correctly.

I'm going to be spending Valentines Day wrestling and being hit by sweaty men at my thai boxing gym in the east end between 11 and 3. However then I'm off to join my mates at Clapham North pub (not my choice of location I assure you) for anti-valentines drinks. Unfortunately or not I may be the only guy, perhaps I should be doing more to pimp my friends out (althought I'm not sure they would agree)??

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️
    • https://www.stanthonysprimary.co.uk/parents/admissions/admissions-1 Both my children went to St Anthony's and I feel it is a wonderful school... very inclusive of all faiths (they learn about all religions even though it's a Catholic school) and nurturing with great pastoral care and teaching. it's a real community of families and school staff and I was very sad when my youngest left for secondary this year.
    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
