Either of those strategies would work, but the smart newbie would have a look at pictures of the last gathering http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,113115,page=1 before heading to the next one. On the night you just approach the first person you recognise from the pictures. Also, hours of fun to be had speculating about who is who in the pictures, unless you're dorky enough to have been caught with your label on :-$ (those labels have got to go by the way!)
  2. Here it is... http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,113328,113542#msg-113542 See you there I hope.
  3. So, if understand this correctly, you're deflecting attention away from questions on your opinion, by teasing Kel about backtracking when questioned. Ironic?
  4. sidll, I take your point, but do you really think she'd appreciate you putting her full name on a public forum any more that she'd like being anonymously discussed?
  5. OK, I stand corrected. You didn't say you supported the BNP, you said you could support whoever you liked, which I agree with. However, you did say there is nothing wrong with the BNP. Do you really believe there's nothing wrong with the mission statement quoted? Like DC, I'm not trying to demonise you or have a personal argument, I simply don't see how the policy quoted can be viewed as anything other than sinister and offensive.

I certainly think that informed posts, like those from lozzyloz, jeremy and DC, are much more constructive and useful in exposing the BNP for what they really are and enlightening people than Lizzy's more emotional contributions*. So, in that sense at least we agree. Maximay, I would still be interested to hear you justification for supporting the BNPs mission statement. *Cross posted with Lizzy's apology - sorry!
  7. Kel, you didn't actually say you supported them no, but with questions like "have you read their manifesto" you did kind of imply your support. I agree that Lizzy's post have been a bit heated and personal, but as keef said it's an emotive subject and many people, myself included, find the BNPs policies offensive and enraging. Maximay, since you have publicly declared your support, I hope you won't mind me calmly asking how you can describe the mission statement quoted by lozzyloz as anything other than racist and separatist?
  8. No, it's a fair cop Moos. I'd been on nights and made the mistake of drinking after only a couple of hours sleep. I went from animated chatter to slurry nonsense in record time even for me (bit of a light weight). Great night though. Cannoni, you should definitely come along to some of the social stuff, it's fun!
  9. Moos, are you suggesting that I made my bad reports up to fit in with the cool kids on here? That would be a little needy don't you think? No, it's all true. I mean I'm not going to claim I was a real thickie, that would be silly, but my teachers all felt I could've done better if I'd applied myself. *looks a bit sheepish* And as it happens they were right. I didn't get into medical school the first time around only after a couple of resits and a bit of applying myself.
  10. Oh buggie that's ace. Mine were mostly about me being great verbally, but not so good at written work (the words messy and unfinished appeared repeatedly). Oh and apparently they could tell I did my homework in five minutes on the bus. The worst were my games and PE reports. We got separate grades for ability, effort, achievement and attendance. I always got E for ability, B for effort and E for achievement. In other words, so little natural talent that even trying really quite hard I acheived nothing. Edited because my written work and spelling are still a bit sloppy :-$

  12. Hmmm sleep deprived and suggestible I'm doubting my dio-sees now. PGC is bound to be more up to date and I also think Ant might be right. After careful consideration however, I'm standing by my is". I am referring to my family as a unit so it's singular. If I'd said my relatives or the members of my family that would be different. A local one now, De'Crespigny Park anyone? I'm going for a silent "pig" as it were and d-cres-nee.

  14. My family is quite churchie and they've always said di-o-sees I think.

Personally, I'd go for engaging, scintillating, vivacious or vibrant to describe you. No offense caused I trust ;-)
  16. I?m completely with you on comic sans. It?s the typeface of Bubbly and Wacky people, of bosses who want to be Mates and of signs saying You don?t have to be mad to work here, but it helps!* Hate it. *spent some time trying to make the coloured text be in the dreaded font, but couldn't do it. Any of the IT people out there want to change it feel free!

I didn't see this happen Sean, so obviously can't be sure, but my recollection of the reports at the time is that the pavement at the stop was crowded and the child, for whatever reason, stepped off the pavement as the bus was pulling into the stop. A tragic and devastating accident for the child and her family, but also extremely traumatic for the driver. I think it's most unfair to imply that the bus driver was entirely to blame without the full facts or that any driver would take a fatal accident lightly. As I say, this is my recolleciton of the reports at the time, I will of course stand corrected if anyone saw the accident or has more information.
  18. Keef, I have to disagree. No-one say C*NT like a posh girl. ::o
  19. Not sure about dignified CWALD, but Andrew does seem to have an eerie ability to resurrect my grandmother when he take a picture of me. I don't notice the likeness normally and it's quite strange seeing her so clearly in me.
  20. Well said fish. My thoughts and sympathies are with them.
  21. otherwise known as bignumber5...
  22. nutty I fell of a swiss ball in the gym not that long ago and I mean properly fell off backwards with my legs and bum in the air. The worse thing was a few people noticed and didn't smile, just looked really serious and superior and carried on exercising in a smug and well coordinated way. I could've coped with being laughed at, but people noticing and pretending not to made it even worse. :-$
  23. In sympathise floating onion. I've just got in from the night shift and MrJ texted me at the beginning of the night to say there was a terrible picture of me, which I haven't been able to look at all night, because work blocks Flickr. I've had a look now and he's not wrong. Sean, I'm definitely ahead in the gurning competition (it was you I had that conversaiton with wasn't it?). Also, BellendenBelle are you sneaking a quick snog with MrJ in the background of one of the EDT pictures? It certainly looks that way! ;-) Great pictures Andrew, thanks. Right bedtime for me
  24. Just found this amazing series of pictures of people before and after death. Beautiful pictures... http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/gallery/2008/mar/31/lifebeforedeath?picture=333325401
