  1. In a football / gaming crossover question. I've just ordered fifa for xbox. Does anyone know if they do a downloadable update after the transfer window closes, and maybe change player ratings?
  2. To be fair, he wouldn't have been fit today anyway.
  3. I'd be absolutely amazed if he doesn't at least come on as a sub.
  4. That was probably the intention.
  5. Agents. Don't think Rooney actually has the brain cells to make that kind of move on his own.

  7. They get paid what their bosses are willing to pay them. I wouldn't tell my boss that I didn't think my job justified my wage. Of course it's obscene amounts of cash, but they're hardly going to turn it down.

  10. That is how I feel too DJ. They genuinely dont seem to give a fuck.
  11. I like Adrian Charles, he's more on our level, like a bloke in the pub. Too much analysis is killing the game, because things don't happen in slow motion on the pitch. Unless of course John Terry is running somewhere.
  12. I'm picking Liverpool, because if they do win, I'll be well chuffed, and if they dont, I won't need to bother with this again.
  13. Everything is going to be okay Quids. You're home now!
  14. Vera Pratt, and the Bishop's false teeth.
  15. I also used to like the Hardy Boys books, but don't know if they're still around these days. I believe you girls would have had the Nacy Drew books instead ;-)
  16. Jonathan Pearce has certainly come on a bit since robot wars!
  17. I loved the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. Much better than Narnia in my opinion. Would really recommend them if he likes that sort of thing, which it sounds like he does. Others that spring to mind would be "A tale of time city" and "Howl's moving castle", both by Diana Wynne Jones.
  18. Macca talks well when he makes an appearance, I think,
  19. I worked for Greenwich Social Services for several years, and can confirm the good things that Marmora Man says about the Westcombe Park, it is one of the better ones.

Nope, don't govern, don't have any power whatsoever. And I don't print private messages, I mentioned one in which you seemed to be insulting me, unless I've misunderstood your razor sharp wit. > I set up a seprate thread to talk about solutions, > many of you commented but the same old nothing > better to do people jumped on it - despite me > saying that it was not to cause personal abuse. Just incase you mean me, I was the 11th post on here, and I didn't say anything that wasn't directly to do with the subject you'd raised. > maybe that is why we have problems, people just > dont respect each other, and dont play by the > rules. > > I have stated a few things that were taken out of > context, that I have been educated on (i.e. > listening to much to the media) for that i am > sorry - for you lot having to listen to certain > rambles from Keefy and his partner in dullness > Lousiana I am sorry for that too Not sure what rambles you're talking about, but there you go. Sorry to be off topic, but being as this so called apology had mentioned me by name a couple of times, I thought I'd just address it. I have no desire to fall out with anyone, but your first pos on the other thread came over in a very bad light. Perhaps something was lost in translation, but if that was the case, you really couldn't have worded it any worse. Anyway, with regards to improving the community, I think massive investment in youth projects, and advertising to the youth, making it seem cool and worth doing, and not "sad / pathetic". This won't happen though, especially in the current climate. Obvious answer is getting knives off the streets, but I have no dea how that could be achieved to be honest.
  21. Has Gary Neville still been playing? I thought he'd retired years ago.
  22. Perhaps rather than one club men, we should think of 10 years plus at a particular club. Probably a load of players have started at smaller clubs, before going on to play for a bigger club for years.
  23. I certainly agree that keeping him at home, with the appropriate support in place, is the best option, although sometimes a person's care needs go beyond that.
  24. I agree with you. Personally I'm not outraged, just gutted over the way he's gone about it, and his attitude on the pitch (sulky little girl).
  25. Ha ha, there is that.
