  1. Nice to see the old school ED Massive out in force! KalamityKel mentioned the tropical fish shop on CP road, that later moved to the parade on Underhill. There was also an old electrical shop on that parade, more or less next door to where the kebab shop is now. Dulwich music shop was basically where it is now, before getting above their station and going west side. Was always expensive too!

  3. Vik, my sister had her first ever Saturday job in a Place Baker, think it was the one on the corner, more or less opposite Tanna's Chemist (where funnily enough she went on to have another Saturday job). This is probably a good 20 years back! They were good bakers.
  4. Fuck me, this is so bloody pathetic. By the way JetSetWilly, are you Spadetownboy?
  5. The ONLY thing I'll say about United, was that Ronaldo let you down. Not in his play, although that wasn't the best, but in his petulance. Yes he's an awesome player, but you need him to keep his head in these big matches.
  6. Hard luck United, but you can't really have complaints.
  7. I watched it (recorded second half of footy, and don't know result yet). Was surprised Howard went, but Nick just slaughtered him, having already stuck up for Lorraine when they were out the room.
  8. Can't afford sky sports I'm afraid.
  9. Hmmm, popped up briefly then went again. Barca looking better this half, but just feel united will get the goals and win it.
  10. Be Unlimited is good. I pay ?17.50 a month, but believe there is a 13 quid package. Been with them 3 months now, and very happy.
  11. Is there a reason there is no clock or score in the top left corner?
  12. Sorry Kid, it was Jimbo164 who was at St John's, but the user name suggests it was a few years before me. It was lovely when it was on the original site, had a feel of a small village school.
  13. Absolutely, total error. They're a lot more relaxed now. Trying to think who tracksuit man was. When were you at St John's?
  14. I loved Dee Dee's when I was a kid!
  15. Yes, that's because they know that there are scumbag thieves around!
  16. Mockney, would I need to buy a pc controller for those games? Bulder's gate looks cool, and Amazon have a compilation of the first 2 + expansions for ?10 something.
  17. Cheers mate. Have just been looking at reviews, and I'm going old school. Off to buy Punch Out!!!
  18. 3:30ish sounds good to me, not sure yet, but would be nice. Not actually a huge Hearne fan, so happy missing the evening session.
  19. What would people say is the best review site? Gamespot and IGN are the well known ones, but do seem quite tight sometimes with their scores, and have highly rated some games that I think are pretty shite. Alternitively, has anyone got any games for Wii they'd recommend? I've recently(ish) bought Manhunt 2 (quite atmospheric, not bad. Not gory at all, as all the killings are done in this blurred vision kind of way). Red Steel (only played the first level, and thought it seemed quite good, despite pretty poor reviews...). Madworld (Have only played a few minutes, stylistically cool, stupidly violent, but think it's going to seriously lack depth, not enough story). I know for a fact that I have the wrong console for the sort of games I really want (wondering round big free roaming worlds), can't afford to get another console right now though. Bring on another Zelda!!! I enjoy the "family games", but never really have anyone to play multi player with, which kind of makes them a lot less enjoyable. Am looking forward to the Ghostbusters game coming out in June! Anyone played Disaster, Day of crisis, or Alone in the dark, Central Park?
  20. Ahh the Slurpies, class!!! :)-D I remember all the things you mention (good memories), but this one in particular, because he's my God Father! I was born in 1978, and he's had that cardigan for as long as I can remember. I think Brendan is about right about the Mag, '04/'05 seems about right for the yellow. Before then it had the best fake bookshelf wallpaper ever!
  21. Ha ha, well quite. That said, did Tony ever go where no man had gone before?
  22. Maybe I can get down there with Mini me, what time are you thinking of Moos?
  23. The CPT was wicked ;-)
  24. Yes, it's a good point, and no actor springs to mind. Would have to be an unknown I think. Not the same thing, but they have just recreated younger versions of some VERY famous characters for star trek... ;-)
  25. But to show good sportsmanship, Good luck Sandperson & red-devil. *offers hand, and resists urge to pull away at last second, put thumb on nose, and blow raspberry whilst wiggling fingers*
