  1. That was basically my point. Admittedly you put it a lot better.
  2. Fuck me DJ, you do take everything seriously don't you. Besides, I never ever said a 14 year old couldn't write anything of worth. Those are your words, that you're trying to shove in to my mouth.
  3. DJKillaQueen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Anne Frank was fourteen when she wrote that Exactly my point. Plus, 14 then was not like 14 today.
  4. People say Toon fans are some of the "best", and they've definitely been through it of late. Anna I don't think anyone is trying to have a pop at you. "Liverpool fanS" doesn't = Anna. Sorry if you've taken anything I've said personally, I know how much you support the team and all that. I have my opinions, but at the end of the day, don't really take the whole thing that seriously, and I have felt sorry for Woy, maybe because I'm just soft. Anyway, apparently he's safe FOR NOW, but there is no way he's going to be there for long, unless he performs some sort of miracle, so here's hoping the next manager can be someone everyone is pleased with. OR, they'll be just as bad, and everyone will start giving the players their fair share of the blame (and that is not to say that Woy is blameless).
  5. Mick are you suggesting that all the travelling liverpool supporters may have speech impediments? That's well out of order.
  6. Anne Frank was a child. Okay, a child who lived through hell, but still a nice forgiving child. That said, I think most people have good in their hearts, it's just that one person's right and good may differ from the next. I think most of us know what is plain wrong though.
  7. Anna, when his name was sang at his first match, did the lyrics go something like "fuck off Woy, bring back Rafa"? ;-)
  8. See now there is a manager that I would support the fans in openly booing from his first home match. Not even to do with him being former United, he's just a prime time wanker.
  9. Oh, and I think a big club these days, is a rich club. Sad as it may be, that is what it's all about now.
  10. Well I didn mean to patronise anyone. I dont however think Woy should feel guilty about getting a payout. Much, dare I say, like Rafa did.
  11. Anna my comment wasn't meant to be directed specifically at you, but I do stand by it. Woy hasn't done a great job, I'm not saying he has, but I think a lot of fans, probably you included, wanted him to fuck up before a ball was ever kicked, like it was his fault Rafa left. Yes supporting a football club is about results, and I do bow to your superior support, but for me, it should always be about supporting the team and the manager. I think that right from August, you and others should have realised that Woy being there, and Rafa not being there, were 2 completely separate issues. I said to your face that I think you're overly blinkered about Rafa, and although I never wanted him out, there is a negative for every positive about him.
  12. Agreed on Janet Street-Porter. Although I'm not sure she qualifies as a treasure in the first place.
  13. Come on everyone, lets play nice, and that means all of you Emerson. Anyway, yeah looks like Woy is going. I genuinely feel for him, and think it's especially sad that a lot of liverpool fans will laugh him out, and seem convinced it was all his fault. There is a part of me (not the liverpool fan, but the fair part) that hopes he goes elsewhere, and comes back to bite these fans in the arse. He deserved a chance at least, being warmly welcomed for his first home match might have been a good start. Good luck to you Woy, you're a decent chap who has been treated badly by a load of spoilt kids.
  14. It depends how you look at it. Yes Becks has embraced fame, but Best just didn't give a shite about anyone but Best. But of course, he's a legend from the golden age of footy, they don't make them like that anymore, blah blah blah.
  15. I don't dispute Best-s skill at playing the game of football, but here people are talking about Beckham the player and the man. As a man, I think he seems a lot less self centred than Best.
  16. Yeah and Best was famous off pitch for being a womanising alcoholic, who fucked up his own playing career. What an icon!
  17. Just tell them you don't want to fall out, but that you'll take action against them if they're not reasonable. Alternatively, could you contact the school, and tell them the bike isn't being used.
  18. I suspect that is exactly what he wants. Sell a few shirts with Beckham's name on the back, lift the "brand" of Spurs around the world.
  19. Come on everybody, it's clearly Liverpool's title, Woy has been playing a cunning game, that will have even Fergie visiting a shrink! Yeah, maybe not.
  20. Indeed. You could even make a closing statement, to make sure that you finish it off! Would be interesting to see if one or two people could sit on their hands, and let it be finished, rather than sneaking a reply in before it's locked...
  21. I'm with Sedgewick, I do think he was class at his peak. With regards to his being "an icon", George Best is also described as such, and why should he be, but Becks not? For the record, I'm not saying that either of them should be, but if one is, then why not the other?
  22. Also depends how many mouths you're feeding. Bit of top quality meat for 2 of you is fine, but when you have 4 or more mouths to feed, your standards may slip a bit.
