  1. So, in that case, what defines a great man? Good looking, cheeky, likes a drink (a bit too much)?
  2. Miaow! The forum seems very very slow when I use it on my home laptop (it's only the forum). However, it seems okay on my mobile, and work computer (not that I use it on work time of course).
  3. I definitely agree that there would be better options than LL. I too have never been to a street party, and I'll admit, I like the idea of going a bit old school. I care not either way about the royals, I'm not a big fan, and I'm not anti. I couldn't give a toss about the wedding, but if there was a big street party on that day, I'd be there, and I'd try to enjoy myself.
  4. So, Parky liked George Best, and Ladymuck fancied him. He truly must have been a great man.
  5. Blackpool double over Liverpool, and from what I can gather, fully deserved. Kenny has had no real time to do anything, but if we lose to Everton, things will look decidedly shite.
  6. Try being a Liverpool supporter. Torres scores after 2 minutes, it's all good. Oh wait, no, we can't defend, and it's the same players Woy had at his disposal. Hopefully Kenny will be a bit more daring and go for it.

  8. But this forum is viewed by thousands of people, so that is like doing a huge mail out. I don't think a little group of forum users are agreeing a stance between themselves and trying to influence anything.
  9. Is it only a bank holiday for rich people then?
  10. Our 20 month old daughter has yet to have a haircut, and it is starting to get in her eyes quite a bit. She doesn't seem bothered, but it must be annoying. Anyway, can anyone recommend anywhere or anyone that is good at dealing with kids who dont want to sit still?

We dot have to wave flags and say Gawd bless .'em. It's just an excuse for a piss up.

  13. LG, get overground from forest hill to canada water, get jubilee to Canning Town, then get number 5, 115, or (g think) 330 along Barking Road to the bottom of Green Street. You should do it in an hour easily.
  14. Hand on my heart I don't remember that, but if that is what happened, then yeah, definitely not on.

  16. Why are the no people saying no out of interest? I dont really care about the wedding, but this sounds a lovely idea. Besides, taxes are paying towards the bloody wedding, so why shouldn't we all have something nice to do?
  17. So do you look at yourself, and every user of this forum as part of this sharp elbowed elite, or are you different?

  19. Edited so as not to be argumentative.
  20. When was it ever a good thing?
  21. This pretty much sums up my feelings about this. We'll meet again man!
  22. As an aside, don't you just love the name Tooley Street.
  23. Actually, the people that live near the plough (which I repeat, is nowhere near either END) probably shop in the sainsbury's, Val's, or go up to the forest hill sainsbury's.
  24. Especially given that the plough isn't actually anywhere near either end, but more or less in the middle. Why not put it on Lordship Lane opposite the Harvester, that would annoy a few people in the low lands.
  25. Hi, I play in a band, but I'll let you decide for yourself rather than blowing my own trumpet. Have a look at www.myspace.com/baregroove there are a few tunes both live and studio recorded on there. PM me if you like what you hear. Good luck whatever you decide.
