Wales did bloody well! England are just plain embarrasing right now, but it's a sad state of affairs that we are all desperate for the most injusy prone player in the history of ANY sport (okay I can't back that up) to get fit again and back in the team! I often think about starting to play again, it was the only sport I was ever actually quite good at, and I used to play a lot, but I am so unfit now, I wouldn't last 10 minutes!

Bloody hell this got "lounged" quickly! I'll support the cause, it's a busy and well known area, and could use a bit of TLC. Would also be nice to feel slightly safer when cutting across it at night!

I've noticed the prices of lamb/chicken/beef really zooming up, but usually there will be something on special, so I basically plan my menu for the week around whatever the special is at any given time. Or we go to Lidls where I have got some great deals on lamb! Which reminds me, according to "which" magazine, the mince pies from Aldi are better quality than those from Harrods!

'Hallelujah' is one of those songs that is a victim of it's own quality. There have been a couple of great versions, Jeff Buckley's being my favourite by a mile, but there are many more terrible versions. Catherine Jenkins has it on her latest album ffs! I actually watched half of X Factor on Saturday for the first time this series. The black girl has got a very good voice. I also watched the whole of Strictly, and then made a point of watching the results show yesterday. I need to stop this staying in at the weekend nonsense, it's bad for me! Stay another day was a master stroke. Take a soppy song with no link to christmas, add some bells at the end, sorted, christmas number 1.

I thought the point was At this time of year I love Slade. And who could forget Stay another day by E17?

Ronaldo's sending off was bizarre wasn't it. Maybe the ref would have been kinder if Ronaldo hadn't done th sarcy clapping thing when he got booked the first time. Not just saying that because he's Man U, I hate when players get cheeky like that, I would have shown a second yellow for that, and I'd say the same if it was a Liverpool player. Great resul for Arsenal. Blatantly offside goal though. Agree with whoever it was on MOTD2 who said he should be having a go at the linesman, not the ref.

That's an interesting point though Piers. When someone gets killed in a car accident or something, threads are started on here, and everyone says "my thoughts are with the family" and stuff like that. Now I'm sure they mean it, but if I was a part of that family, I'd want to come on here and say mind your fecking business and leave us be! Guess different people express things differently, but I'm sure all those prayers were genuine, even if they didn't really help anyone.

I'm not at all keen on it, especially when animals are doped, at least give them a fair chance! Imagine being confused with hundreds or thousands of shouting people all around you, can't be a very nice finale to life, it's a public execution for the sake of entertainment. Heard an interview with the drummer from The Police a while ago on Radio 4. Everything he said about Sting just made me dislike the man more and more. I did like a few Police hits, but his solo stuff is fecking horrid! (although Eva Cassidy took a boring bland song and turned it in to something beautiful with her version of Fields of gold).

Was at a small wedding yesterday, early ceremony, which meant we were in The Palmerston at midday drinking shots. This continued all day, and I feel quite rough right now... Need a pint! As an aside, the food in The Palmerston was very good (if you eat meat), no idea what it cost though, as the groom paid, but a fine bit of lamb it was too! They must have made a fortune from us by the end of the day though!

Well I think it's shite, so there. Although I do quite like the little backyard bit on a warm afternoon, but the pub itself is no better than when it was The Forresters, and at the weekends it's actually worse. It's the only place in ED that I would call shite. They won't care, plenty of people seem to disagree with me, so don't think they'll lose any sleep because I don't like it.
