I think you can be pretty sure she has her own mind! Still I hate shite like this.

    Wispa Bars

    Or mini hereos.
  3. Surely more a Spurs love-in? I am gutted, was going to be going to Anfield for the first time in AGES this weekend, only for work to suddenly decide to give us our backdated pay increases a month later than they'd announced, so alas, I can't afford it :'( Still, hopefully the pool will pick up the points against Fulham. I didn't really bother with the match on Wednesday, but kind of wish I had. By all accounts an impressive show by some of the fringe / young players, and nice to see the England manager playing a friendly like a proper match. I think the reason everyone has totally gone off friendlies is down to the whole using 9 subs and changing most of the team at half time. What can that really show anyone? Interesting outburst from Gallas in the news, wonder which 25 year old player he is talking about?

Jeremy, have Topic really gone? I'm sure you get the mini ones in boxes of Celebrations. Speaking of which, I love the "teasers" you get in celebrations!

    Wispa Bars

Agree about Wispa gold being a fine bar, but not o keen on the plain wpa, would prefer an Aero. Bring back Maverick! (little bit like Boost, late 90s)
  6. Interesting point you make there.
  7. An East Dullard! ;-)
  8. Actually I shall be changing from SE26 to SE23 soon... I may sign up.

    LOL Posts

Funny indeed! Glad you dragged this thread up, I made a note to self to do it this morning, and promptly lost my internal memo. Anyway, this was the reason.
  10. I have been on the Sydenham Town Forum, which is okay, but not anywhere near as busy or entertaining. Alan Dale loves the Camberwell forum!
  11. "The bloke's guide to pregnancy" by Jon Smith. I think I would recommend it to expectant dads just because there isn't much else out there, and some of it rings very true. However, it is definitely aimed at the stereotypical "Lad", and I'm not sure I can be that obsessed with breasts getting bigger! :-S Have a nice 3 or 4 books waiting for me if I can plough through this quickly. Not finding myself rushing to turn pages though!
  12. I actually doubt they did any of it "for us" ;-)
  13. Wow, there really is a 5 page thread about a fence! I thought I'd imagined it. I don't really go near GG, but to offer an opinion, I would say give the dogs the larger share of the green, as they want to run around a lot more than your average child. As for the fence, I doubt any fence will make a lot of difference. People that break rules will break rules regardless.
  14. Yes Tony, that works equally as well, I wasn't trying to bully the tories! Well yeah, never said otherwise! At the end of the day, if there is a rule against joining an organisation, whatever it may be, then you're an idiot for joining if you value your job. However, your beliefs are still your beliefs, and membership of a group doesn't really change that. A racist copper is a racist copper!
  15. Didn't Harold Shipman live somewhere leafy?
  16. Thing is, what if a policeman was a real old school tory, with no time for council tenants. He may then act differently towards youths on a council estate. I know it's not exactly the same, but it's a viable comparison. Perhaps the answer is to ban membership of any political party, rather that just a particular one?
  17. There was a group of teenaged girls mugging loads of kids in East Dulwich last year. SAY NO MORE!!!!
  18. If you're talking about the spoiler I think you are talking about (involving Greggs), then funnily enough, I didn't know I was spoiling. You assumed from something that I said that I was suggesting a plot line, and that plot line actually came true, but I'd not watched it yet! Weird huh? Anyway, when drunk in the EDT once, you told me all about Bubbles, so we're square! ;-)

    Petty Annoyances

Hey, on the bright side, I'll get extra money just before crimbo, for partying :)-D That does mean however that xmas shopping may have to be done late on xmas eve!!! :-S
  20. It's not exactly a biggy, and the forum needs moderators, but I don't agree with changing anyones posts in any way, unless of course they're claiming that a local business is a front for a child porn ring or something! I also think that it should be totally open who has "the power" on here, and while I'm at it, Sean needs to loosen up on his trigger happy lounging finger! ;-) Anyway, The Wire... Well not the wire actually, but The Devil's Whore. I rather enjoyed it last night, did anyone watch?

    Petty Annoyances

Not sure this is that petty actually, but anyway. Here at work, I was not alone in reading a memo and taking it to mean that in our November pay we'd be getting pay increase backdated from April. Everyone was pleased about this before crimbo, and budgeted accordingly to do their xmas shopping. Pay comes in and sure enough there is no nice extra, just a few quid. Payroll say that you have received your pay rise in November and you'll get backdated in December and that they never said otherwise, even though EVERYONE read it as I did!!! Call me cynical, but I can't help thinking that they may have just decided to keep all that extra cash in their account for an extra month! :(
  22. Just went to do it, and see either you or Sean have been good enough to edit me already. Thanks oh wise and powerful ones ;-)
  23. I've not seen the list, but I can think of a couple of locals whom I'd be suprised if they weren't on it!
  24. The problem will be getting first time buyers. I have just signed up to a 3 year 6.59 fixed rate mortgage, which I can just about afford. It was the cheapest option believe it or not! It's been a kick in the bum for me, had I just filled that form in a couple of days earlier I would've been on a tracker!
  25. My guitar. Although I still don't know how my effects board works properly 5 years after buying it.
